Should say that that facebook page is run by Guinness and the shirt number name thing (as it's known in official circles) is run by O2. It's not an IRFU initiative, it comes from the sponsors.
Dreamer, my kindred spirit. The devil's own vegetable. Onions are, of course, the spawn of satan

Am I the only one who thinks that Francis is extremely good at what he does. He is paid to be "that guy" and excels at it.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Good at being a little Poopie? Yes, I suppose he is! The fact we're talking about it indicates he is.

I'm like that with most vegetables, Dreamer. I've they're chopped up into little pieces, no problem, but big chunks? I'll just leave them at the side of my plate.
Unless I'm eating stir-fry. I don't mind it then, for some reason.

That's a shame to hear about that. I just hope it was the booze and they felt very stupid afterwards. We had a couple of leary Saints fans by us, every time they scored they were stood up, turning around and sort of gloating at the Leinster fans around them, but they went very quiet during the second half.

I have to say I think the little Poopie is a role that needs filling and someone has to do it. I actually like reading stuff from him and Stephen Jones. Its all garbage but its a sideways look at it.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Notch - agreed, they are completely vile.
Lucky - I'm not too bad with other veg really, a lot better then when I was younger. Actually can't think of one apart from onions that I don't like anymore...

Quite a few of them got escorted out but one old guy refused to leave and caused quite a stir. Disappointing really, plus no one landed a good punch!

I'd also say that Neil Francis stumbles across some grains of truth every now and then. He made a great point once about how Ulster players were only getting selected due to a quote system. I wasn't aware of it but he revealed the light . . . . . :run2:

Agree Notch, though the players participate quite a bit on both pages - giving away stuff as well as uploading updates and videos of their own.
My point was that in wales we have nothing like that at all, not from the WRU or the sponsors.

It's the Brussels sprout, surely? I've only willingly eaten sprouts when I was about ten and had such a heavy cold that I had no sense of taste. My mum piled them on the plate!

Notch, fair enough. Don’t get me wrong, I still think he’s a goon. But I think it’s a shame that he goes on like one because underneath it all is a decent pundit.
Rev, I’ve never been to Sapton myself, but I understand there’s a lot of Munster fans waving NH flags there…?

It was more like a test Kiwi. They're read out famous quotes and they have to guess who said it.
Sure Paddy Wallace is only going to the RWC because of his extensive knowledge of English Literature from the medieval era to the present day.

I was going to list the few vegetables I like but then I realised I'll eat most of them, depending on what the dish is and what else is with them. But never sprouts.

I'm hyper-sensitice to cucumber, if it's freshly sliced I can smell it from 10 metres away, and 3 slices is enough to provoke a SickyT/Sickado moment - it tastes and smells like turpentine. Paint thinner anyone?

Don't be so sure. I've got some photos that Declan Kidney won't want to get out (Its him and SinE in a compromising position)
Deccie will be picking the team I want if he doesn't want Neil Francis getting a hold of it and ridiculing him

True, although Tomás O'Leary and Jerry Flannery do a bit on the Guinness page, as do John Muldoon and Stephen Ferris. Speaking of which, Johnny Sexton's just posted an update and it's been tarnished by the provincial bitching already

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
As far I'm concerned Flannery doesn't really play for us anymore. He'll retire soon.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
nope Lucky I love sprouts too!
The only one I'm not a particular fan of is Parsnips, have them roasted though and they are major yum.
I think with regards to the WRU and sponsors not interacting with fans - yes they are missing out there, especially as so much nowadays is communicated via the web. I still love that the players themselves do so many meet and greets though, I hope they never stop doing that.

Just to clear a few things up (and Stag will back me up here as he saw me in the bathroom on this occasion). Sickado is a figment of Prop’s imagination. I skulled a rum and coke in one go, then needed to go for a pish. I did that, had a chat with Stag while drying my hands, then came back out to chants (ACTUAL CHANTS!) of Sickado, Sickado, Sickado. I never barfed once in Cardiff! If I was going to chuck up I would have done it after downing several “Mickado specials” that we were drinking in the club. Southern Comfort mixed with WKD, hammered she wrote!

Its true to be fair to Mick. Even after we drank that Whiskey in limerick it was SickyT and not Sickado.
And in Dublin it was a very green looking Stag (though to be fair you were busy elsewhere at the time).

Will Stag still be backing you up if Leinster wins tomorrow?
Just kidding, 'tis post-Friday pub lunch and I'm in a funny mood. All I remember is the chant, I thought that was as you raced towards the gents ...
But apologies, I'll go back to calling them MickyT moments, there's photographic evidence of that occuring

Had a very awkward phonecall with a man whose wife and kids are too fat to use our products. He was so embarrassed. Wasn't too nice at all.

Yikes, thats not great. You must remain unfailingly polite in such situations.

I think awkward is most definitely the word for that situation Stag, not sure how I'd have handled that at all!
I've had a day full of horrible calls, had a guts full really, so glad I'm off until Weds now. Work is making me very today. Still, the service manager knows we're under a lot of stress so just bought us a load of chocolate. Nothing like bribary I guess....

Oh you could tell. He was beating about the bush explaining it and then said "Do you understand what I'm saying to you". I advised him I did understand the problem and had to help him.
He was mortified having to describe it.

I had a great lunch today. Lamb, gravy, cheese cauliflower, carrots and mash that I brought from home. And then a muffin afterwards
Dublin tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to having a night away. Pity I won't get to Munster game but I'll see it from Dublin.

I love them. Beef, cherry or sundried I don't mind. In a salad, sandwich, pasta or even as ketchup. Tomatoes are incredible things.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
tomatoes are only nice if they are in a sauce or as ketchup. Not a big fan of them in a salad, have to have them with loads of other stuff so I can't taste them!

Dreamer - my girlfriend LOVES onions. One thing she does a lot is if she is making a pizza or buying a frozen pizza is to chop up loads of onion and put it on top.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Staggy - I hope she eats a lot of chewing gum
I don't mind fresh tomatoes in other things like a salad, but I can't eat them fried with breakfast, or on their own like an apple as some people do. Tinned tomatoes are puke anyway though.

Literally when I was younger even the taste of an onion would almost make me vomit, I just don't get how people can like them so much!

I like my veggies al-dente. I was reared on vegetables which were murdered into mush by an Irish Mammy, back in the day. I only knew what they actually tasted like when I went abroad. I think that has changed back home. Or has it?
P.S. Penforn is right. Raw-Tomatoes are inherently evil. I dont trust them. They have been the root cause of many wars and the destruction of civilisation as we once knew it. Nobody talks about it, but I feel they should be exposed for what they really are. Satans' Fruit.
