Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hoi Mrp! Good to "see" you back in the Pub. In truth, you were one of the 1st ones in, before yer Missus grabbed your pint and took over.
Hows tings?

Gibbo I hear your missus is doing the same soon. I was talking to your bro yesterday. Tried to sort him out with ML tickets but alas no luck.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I mean Megan is at gymnastics - just in case you get any evil thoughts - Mrs P was a gymnast in an earlier life but she would confess that flexibility has decreased with advancing years unfortunatley

That's good news Stag, but please dont tell me Ma. ;-)
MrP, I feel that group needs my support. But I dread joining any group, other then the Pub on FB. What that lot do with our info scares me. It's wide open to data-abuse, no matter what they say. All we do is post pics and a few comments. Harmless enough.

Who is this Jim Nastics???!!! I'll have im so I will.
Ah Megan. Give her a kusje from me please.
The missus gets up at 6 am every morn. Fast-walks around the park (8km) comes home for brekkie and then does a 15km bike-ride. She puts me to shame but Im ketchin-up.
Stag, that's a bummer about Seorses' tickets. He would have loved it. Since I got him into the game a few years back, he hasnt missed a game. Shelle too. It's great them meeting up and palling with you guys too. Best part of it actually.

Exactly Gibbo its the best part of sport. My Dad couldn't believe this whole online community thing we've got going. A year ago he wouldn't have been anywhere near capable of having the banter like that. But he really has started having the craic since his depression last year. He was chuffed to bits that it was a REAL meet up.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Prop, yes moi. I loved that meet-up man. Wished I could have spent more time with ye guys, but I had a blast with Kia, Mell, Chef, Rava, Chris & Puma.

Cari - I take it you know that Wally is making his 200th appearance for Munster tomorrow.
And since Barry Murphy is retiring ... take a look at him in his new career. Lurking with the Bodhrain is Felix Jones.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOgr9amtkeU&feature=related
He is a pretty good singer.
Only try scored against the ABs on their trip North.

In case you guys didnt know, you can request to have videos added to the 606v2 you tube channel.
They are all then kept in one place for future reference (and labelled under rugby)

Notch wrote:Yeah, I was performing with a system that outputs the guitar over 8 channels and uses a sensor on the head of the guitar to detect movement- that data is used to pan the signal over the 8-channel speaker array that surrounds the audience. The upshot of that is you can pan the signal wherever you want in real time just by moving the neck of the instrument- so that it's coming from the back of the room, the front, the left, the right.
It also has a looper with an in-built decay so you can build up this great surround sound texture with different sounds coming from all four sides of the room and it just slowly dissipates.
I worked with an interaction designer on putting the system together, its really wonderful.

Ah Stag, flattery will get you everywhere with this aulfella.
Sure stick it up on FB in the Diff tour pics.
Hobo, that's a great idea man, we can delve into our fav tracks - like the Pub Jukebox, instead of trying to find them on youboob everytime. Sorted. 8)

A view I've just considered. Leinster haven't played a full 80 minutes in a fair while. Is this the match they deliver an 80 minute performance I hope not. I hope they play for about 20 minutes and Munster do the rest
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Good stuff Stag.
that will sort me out.
off to see Hang over 2 tonight with the misus. looking forward to seeing her actually. haven't seen her in a while..
I think I am getting soppy in my old age

They haven't had to though Stag. I don't think you need to be at your game for a full 80 minutes to win games.
if you put in 25-30 minute shifts each half and contain the rest then you will win a lot of games.

Yea don't get me started on that. I actually missed the bloody Harlequins match due to her too. We were away in Kerry with friends. Though I was glad I didn't go to it. Watching in pub was bad enough

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Actually, the answer is either 1000 MB = 1 GB or 1024 MB = 1 GB, depending on the context. In the context of RAM, usually the powers of 2 are used and in the context of communication usually the powers of 10 are used. This ambiguity has existed for many years. Fortunately, there is an effort underfoot to use the terms Mebibyte (MiB) and Gibibyte (GiB) for the powers of two.

I would argue further and say it is 1024 if you're dealing with facts, and 1000 if you work for the marketing department and are a lying shyte.
