Gus is loving the 4G pitch. I'm still a little worried about his scrumming and throwing though. Tyler Morgan showing that he deserves that contract over Cory Allen, definitely one for the future.

Historically Gus has been poor at throwing - I guess 4g and dry conditions helping

Saint,

He's played the squad / academy lads through the whole competition...he's using it to blood the lads which I think is correct. This is the first game where they've really been up against a very impressive side playing great rugby. ANd they've struggled.

What he will want to see now is how they react in the second half. This is chance to see the character of some of the players who will be falcons first teamers very soon / in the near future.

How many games are left in the competiton? Im not up to speed on it.

Regardless he will continue his use of the competition until the end.

Amos was capped in 2013 against Tonga, Morgan yet to be capped and is the u20's for the 6n

Once in a while you get cracking game like this one in the 2nd tier competition which is why it was a disgrace to show so little of this comp in the earlier rounds.

I think what Rev meant was that this proves why Amos and Tyler are worth a DC, as a number of posters have questioned their inclusion when others getting DCs are far more established players.
