Same old story
So we all await with baited breath Andy's match with Djokovic hoping that he'll provide some much needed good news for British tennis.
Consider the following:
Dan Evans good run at the US Open last year is a distant memory as he disappears out of ther top 200
James Ward is now the only player anywhere near the top 100 behind Andy but is it harsh to say sometimes he gets all the LTA help because his face fits?
Oliver Golding has supposedly become frustrated at the success of the likes his former junior oppponents Vesely and Thiem while he's stuck in the mire of the 300s and might well quit the game.
Kyle Edmund is still the bright hope for British tennis with Greg Rusedeski on board but has he really got what it takes to break the top 100?
At one stage the women were the answer but Laura Robson's not played cometitively since January, Heather Watson looked pretty clueless in a supposedly winnable match at the US Open and Konta's probably gone about as far as she can with her present ranking.
All in all a sorry state of affairs. Let's just hope Andy's back spasms are a thing of the past and at least he provides some light relief from the fiasco that continues to be British tennis.

You're listing the symptoms, what's the underlying disease though...?

Laziness. Why go out and play tennis when you eat Pringles whilst playing Call of Duty?

Technique and tactics simply far off, you need high IQ to get anywhere in the game.

But do you think they will shine in COD online competition if there is one?
British sports lack competitive desire, they play the game for fun while most nation like Spanish play it more professionally like a war and success is the only option.
Brit fans should be happy that Andy rose in the rankings and able to win multiple GS, but he cannot inspire people who doesn't want to be inspired.
