Matthysse, Broner, Berto card...

These three are on tonight, sadly not against each other simultaneously but all three are prone to exciting fights and all on a comeback of sorts.

Anyone know where this can be viewed?

Expecting Ortiz to KO Matthysse tonight.

Boxnation have gone all out for the Frampton fight so these aren't being televised in this country.

Ortiz mistimes his rise from a body shot having spat out his mouthpiece and is counted out in round 2. Idiot, I was looking forward to a war.

Can't tell whether he took an easy way out or doesn't know how to count.

Seen that happen a few times where the fighter gets up after the Ref says 9 and it's waved off, don't think he sees out the next round either way. Matthysse deserves another crack at Garcia.

I don't speak Spanish so I don't know if the count was 9 or 10 when the ref waved it off.

Nobody's convincing me the end result was changed though. Ortiz was out of his depth. It is irritating as I hadn't seen Ortiz before and didn't exactly gain much insight other than that if hit in the right place by a ridiculously powerful puncher he'll go down.

Naturally he's calling out Garcia, but says is open to fighting Broner or, apparently, anyone. Wlad v La Maquina?

Broner looks better when he's doing anything but taylor's there, throwing shots, landing and backing him for the majority of the rounds...

Exciting fight, but unimpressive from Broner. Lucas leaves him in pieces on that showing.

Think 116-111 is a little generous, he spent so much of that fight getting roughed up on the ropes.

Broner just isn't that good I don't think. Looking at his last 3 fights he has looked poor. Over rated or has the Maidana fight stolen his invincibility??

Broner has always been a B level fighter. His limitations where hidden at SFW and LW as he was bullying guys he outweighed and outsized. 

Up at WW and JWW, he's been exposed. Matthysse would KO Broner.

Everyone thought Matthysse would annihilate Garcia, I'm going towards Broner in this one.......

People's (me included) perceptions of how well Garcia would stand up to a heavy shot were more conjecture based than with Broner, who's failed to make an impression in any of his fights against people he doesn't considerably outmatch physically.

Broner hasn't got legs to keep away from Matthysse, doesn't have to power to keep him at bay and doesn't have a good enough defense up close to negate him, can't see how he wins that one. It will be similar to the Maidana fight I suspect. Matthysse hits harder than Maidana and is a little less crude so he might get Broner out of there. What is in Broners favour in this one is that Matthysse has real slow hands and is a little more textbook than Maidana who troubled him with big looping shots that Matthysse throws less of.

I don't think Maidana's punch resistance is as good as Matthysse's. Broner could stand up to Marcos and back him up, did some damage with body shots, he just took punishment while he was doing it. I don't see him putting Matthysse on the backfoot as easily.

If Broner could do what he did at the end of round ten more than two or three times during a 12 rounder it would be a harder pick.

Can't see Broner beating Matthyse without a major change in tactics. He has this terrible habit of standing right in front of opponents, thinking that he can bob and weave his way out of trouble. It doesn't work, and he gets hit too much. Couple that with his low punch output, and a hard punching, high output opponent in Matthyse, and I think he gives away too much of the fight.

Broner is accurate as hell and technically very good when he's actually punching, but if you're going to have such a low output, you better use your feet and move a bit more. It was ok when he has outweighing and overpowering all his opponents, but it's shown up as a glaring hole against more powerful guys. He's definitely good enough to beat Matthyse, but I just see his style giving too many opportunities for Matthyse to win rounds and/or put him in real trouble.

Broner out weighed and bullied his opponents at the lighter weights and since stepping up to WW or LWW...his performances have been very poor.

Hard fight on Saturday which he should have looked good in. Same with the Molina fight as well.....scraped past Malignaggi and battered from pillar to post against Maidana.

But against Gavin Rees he can stand there take shots and batter him because he is physically bigger than him. (Using Rees just as an example).
