Frampton took the 6th off (although still won it) and maybe the 7th off. I don't think we'll be needing the judges though.

I've just had a horrible thought, that frampton could have gassed. Hopefully not, but I didn't like the way he seemed to lose his head during the weigh in. Hope he hasn't been burning nervous energy.

Abner Mares has just tweeted saying he'll move back to SBW to fight Frampton.

Shame Leo Santa Cruz backed out of a Frampton fight...

I disagree MM8. Mares was destroyed as featherweight, but at SBW Mares is a totally different fighter. I'd say a close decision either way, maybe a SD.

I can't see LSC fighting Rigo or Frampton.

I'd like to see Martinez v Quigg and I'd give Kiko a much better chance against Quigg.

Frampton was brilliant tonight. I thought he might be in danger by changing his tactics from the first fight but he controlled it more than less throughout. There should be some clamour for Shane's services after this.

Class display from Frampton, used his skills to box Kiko's head off.
I scored it 119-108 (only gave one round to Kiko).
Just hope the fight with Quigg gets made now and they don't get distracted by other fights - can't beat a domestic dust up - and the winner can go onto Rigo, LSC etc and who knows (?) have a 2nd, 3rd fight.
Personally think that the fight with Quigg is a pick 'em.

He also said his box nation contract is up too. Mcguigan was coy about sticking with them. Frampton needs the sky exposure, he has potential to be ppv with lsc, mares, rigo and quigg fights all possible.

I wouldn't put money on a fight with LSC TBH. He's ducking. His stock on Mexico had really fallen after he decided not to fight either Frampton or Rigondeaux despite repeatedly calling them out.

Mares vs Frampton would be a PPV.

The fight with Quigg is a mismatch, KC.

Frampton smashes him to bits. Kiko will do it even quicker based on his style.

It's all about opinions mate but I've seen enough from Quigg to suggest that he gives anyone a tough night.
I know he's not the most popular of boxers on this forum, but I'd back him to give Carl or anyone else in the division a few problems.

Went pretty much as everyone on here said. Still, credit to Kiko for going after the toughest opponent and credit for Frampton for getting it done.

No more ties to Box Nation and he's already calling out Quigg. Be surprised if we don't see that fight happen. Hearn is on the charm offensive on twitter congratulating CF and sounding out the domestic dust up

Congrats to Frampton. I thought he was superb. He showed power, poise, great footwork and excellent technique. A serious talent.

Quigg fight has to happen now. Do it in Belfast and it will be huge. I have to favour Frampton, although it would be very interesting to see if Quigg can trouble him with educated pressure.

They are talking about Frampy conquering America...........So I'll be surprised If they get too brave with his opposition in the foreseeable......

Which is a shame with Rigo becoming ancient in 122 pound terms......I'd pick Frampton to beat the lot..

Mcguigan has come out today and said their opponent preferences are 1) lsc
2) quigg
3) mares
4) Gonzales

And no interest in Rigondeux as he even though he's great he brings no money.

That's the most disappointing thing I've read today. No interest in trying to prove your the man at the weight. Good work Barry.

I think Gonzalez fight wouldn't happen TBH. Gonzalez is WBC featherweight champion, so Frampton would have to move up and that would stop a fight with Quigg.

I can see Oscar making Gonzalez vs LSC, as LSC doesn't want to fight Frampton...

I'm pretty disappointed with the attitudes of many of the leading Super-Bantams / Feathers when it comes to Rigondeaux. I'm not really as sold on this idea that there's nothing to gain from fighting him or that he doesn't have enough financial clout as a lot of others seem to be.

For me, he only 'doesn't bring money' in relative terms to his talents. He's one of the two or three best fighters in the world and his drawing power doesn't reflect that, sure - but that doesn't mean he's a complete financial dud per se. Donaire was an established star of the lower weight classes and had been in the pound for pound rankings for a long, long time before facing Rigondeaux, but he still got a career-high purse for the fight. By any other standards, for someone in the lower weight classes Rigondeaux's not a bad earner - but when you measure against his reputation for skill and ability, he just looks like one in a different context.

Maybe Santa Cruz might draw more numbers for Frampton than Rigondeaux will, but outside of that, who else? Quigg's a fight of interest in the UK but boxing is bigger than that and I can't believe anyone would view that as a 'bigger' fight overall for Frampton. In Boxing News the other week, Frampton was talking about how his team had advised him to look elsewhere rather than Rigondeaux, and he said himself, "We'll fight him only when we have to." I just don't understand that attitude, especially when Frampton also said in that interview, "If I win the world title it's no good calling myself the best in the world, because he (Rigondeaux) is until he gets beaten."

I think fans and fighters trying to turn themselves in to accountants (to nick Rowley's phrase) when they discuss boxing has encouraged a bit of a poor attitude to taking the toughest challenges in that respect. It's a fair enough stance in some cases, but I find a lot of the time that it's just a case of people saying it, saying it and saying it again until they and everyone else believes them, when the reality is quite different.

Agreed chris. It seems hypocritical to say there is nothing to be gained from fighting the recognised man at your weight class. It would be picked up as a headline story by every boxing publication and website.

How would that not be a good thing? Promotion is a huge part of boxing, fighting rigondeaux would garner so much free publicity that I believe that the line "he's not worth it" is a nonsensical.

I'm disappointed, as I thought frampton would be buck the trend and would build towards a Rigondeux showdown. His team should have more faith in him realise he has a chance and that losing to a special talent if that were the case, wouldn't be the end of the world.

Lsc getting 750,000 to fight a former sparring partner (who picks up 50,000), as chief support tonight. Crazy money, good work if you can get it. What kinda money could frampton bring? Nothing like that I'd guess. Why would lsc fight in Belfast if al haymon can get him that kind of wedge for a televised spar.??
