Nadal's Unbeaten Run
The last time Rafa Nadal was defeated was 1st July when Nick Kyrgios (who?) fluked his way to a win, in a result I would classify as " ".
Since then he has not lost a game. That is 77 days and counting. Some are saying that this makes Nadal the greatest sportsman ever.
Some may like to bury their head in the sand and pretend this is not significant but for some the truth can be hard to take.
Djokovic must be wondering what to do. He's tried everything - entering tournaments, playing matches - but he hasn't been able to match this record. Maybe some dancing will make people love him more...
Speaking of dancing, I see Judy Murray is on Strictly this year. Some are saying that this makes her the equal of Ginger Rogers. Murray will never make it to theBig final four. They'll probably cut to a shot of Andy in the crowd, and make out that he and Rafa are friends. Still, if you can't get your own glory, you can always bask in others...
Who do you think the best dancer on the ATP tour is? Djokovic clearly wants to be. I reckon it's probably Rafa.
Warning: this article is not for everyone, so if you don't like it, don't read any of the above.

Re: Nadal's Unbeaten Run
Nadal has won 86% of services games in his career.
Some say that this might mean he has the best serve ever.

I don't think Nadal will lose any games or sets this weekend either, clearly there is no player with his resumé.

JHM - that's a magnificent badge.
Is there also badge comprised of a picture of Groucho alongside a box containing "Ayyy"?

To start with amazing well researched and documented article, Salutaions
This is not the first time Nadal went undefeated for a prolonged period, he did that in 2009, 2012 and now in 2014 [at the least I know these many years].
let alone losing games and sets he won't even lose a point.

Austere Prophet on the old 606 used to say that.DirectView2 wrote:To start with amazing well researched and documented article, Salutaions
If my memory serves me correctly, HE made a similar argument to say Nadal has the best return- using percentage of return game won statistics (which if used on its own is flawed for relatively obvious reasons). I think EE is trying to parody that in a light hearted wayDirectView2 wrote:Eagle Eye wrote:Nadal has won 86% of services games in his career.

I had my own identity on old 606, not sure whether you knew me or not and it was called DirectView

He also had an identity here called DirectView, which got banned. He promptly set up a new account called DirectView2 (in less than two minutes from his banning), to let us know he didn't appreciate being banned, and wouldn't come back. Needless to say...

Re: Nadal's Unbeaten Run
Söderling has not lost a match or even a point since July 2011, Nadal has some way to go yet before he reaches the Tibro native.

Re: Nadal's Unbeaten Run
Good article eagle eye and great to have thoughtful posters like yourself and hawkeye on this board.
To complement the stat, nadal is also probably the player who has picked his butt most times in the hystory of the game, let's not forget it.

That was lydian's topic. Although to be fair, it was an interesting thread that sparked debate over how useful statistics were in specific scenarios - ie, can stats truly measure the effectiveness of a serve/return, etc.

The OP misses the bigger picture; Rafa hasn't lost a match* for 8 years.

Mortals like Federer, Sampras lose to even ordinary players on their prime in comparison its confirmed from planet Krypton that Rafa beat Man of Steel by 6-2 6-1 and 6-0 margin, after the match it was reported Rafa had a 40 inch muscle tear which lead to his poor match.

Nice, but unlike DC comics Rafa beating Man of Steel was a true story

Your contributions to the forum are fabulous , this should be your highlight comment I guess, cause you really cannot contribute anything meaningful Tennis discussion wise.
If I wanted to spam I could have opened a new account with a different name and you would not have had a clue about it, I opened another account in the same name and openly conveyed my banning wasn't right [and there was no reason given either], and I stood with the exact same name, something called courage which i got it.
I haven't got banned since for saying the truth or for posting my thoughts, which means Mods and Admins here do understand you don't get banished for saying the truth in the right manner.
Next time rather than pointing finger at somebody, just check how much dirt are there in your shirt.
