Ok just seen it, Schaub fumbled on a fake punt, then recovered, then threw an interception pass intended for Rivera. The nfl.com got there play-by-play messed up.

It was just a quick thought... The 49ers have beat the Chiefs, Cowboys and Eagles but lost to both the Broncos and Cardinals. Not sure the Cowboys have had the hardest schedule. They beat the Seahawks but then so did the Rams.

I've gone more on who they've played rather than their records. It's not too scientific though.

It's based on their record and the average record of their opponents. The Patriots opponents average record so far has been the second worst in the league. Only the Browns have had an 'easier' run through to week 8. When you factor in their records there's not a lot in it. The Patriots are probably lower because they have played the Raiders.
