The NFL isn't looking for a cash grab, its looking for a stadium which has demonstrated it can fulfill all the needs of a NFL game and does it repeatedly, legally they're probably on pretty shaky ground reselling tickets anyway.

What good does it do the NYS economy exporting dollars to Michigan? Let alone consideration for the fans??
What do you think Detroit has that the 'Cuse doesn't? Except bankruptcy of course.

There are teams loosing in CFB whilst racking up 700 yards of total offence with no turnovers.
The stats are just getting crazy

Down by 21, in New England territory, in the last quarter, 4th down, Jim Caldwell kicks a field goal
It doesn't even make it a two score game ffs

It's no wonder the AFC North are all on winning records when they get to play teams like the Falcons, Buccaneers, Titans and Jaguars.JDizzle wrote:Some absolutely stinky throws from Hoyer in there. Got it done in the end though I suppose...
The Patriots at the Packers next week should be a bit tasty. The Lions have been shown up in recent weeks. They have had one of the easiest schedules this year.
It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals can get a result in Seattle.

It has to be said that for all the negative chat about Robert Griffin this week, most of it from his own stupid Head Coach in fairness, the guy must be an absolute nervous wreck behind that car crash of an offensive line that we have. Yeah holds the ball too long but not all of those sacks are on him. On some of these plays, guys are just running untouched straight into him before he's barely able to set his feet. It's painful stuff to watch.

Its hard to establish an identity on offense when you cant run or pass. The 49ers still have time mind

Maybe it's just Gruden's offense that is awful? All 3 QBs have been bad in it... don't let the media hype about McCoy in the Dallas game fool you... he really wasn't that good that night.

Still most impressive offensive Poopie goes to Tampa bay, who managed to lose despite only giving up 108 yards on defence.

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
Oh yeah, no doubt he's been bad - he's now just 5 games away from being officially crowned as the biggest draft bust ever and I feel it for him. It's so painful to watch. It's not all on him though - the coaching and playcalling is just diabolical. I mean tonight Alfred Morris was bashing San Fran left, right and centre. It was a game that was crying out for play action passes and what was Gruden having a Griffin do. Traditional drop back passes and shotgun. It's just stupid. It's starting to look like Gruden wants him to fail.

BTW, if you thought Griffin looked bad tonight then I can only assume you didn't see him last week? That was an improvement tonight. Of the 5 sacks, I could only pin one on him. The other 4 were just guys running virtually untouched into the backfield.

Superglue on the gloves? Seriously amazing that he could keep control of the ball thrown that hard one handed at that much of a stretch. Would have been ironic if he'd fallen out of bounds after such an effort (I know there was a pass interference flag anyway, but it wouldn't have been a TD)

Justice being meted out in Detroit, the best possible answer to Goodell's nonsensical decision to send them to Michigan.
31-3 to the Billys with a few 3rd qtr minutes to go.
Could still reach the Play-Offs even with playing nine away games.

38 - 3.
Perfect.
Not worth much though unless they beat the Brownies on Sunday - every indication Ralph Wilson Stadium will be ready for the game. Snowmobiles not required.

Brees went 35 of 45, 420 yards, 3 touchdowns, and still lost.

GSC,
That's the failure of the franchise system, especially in NYC.
The Giants, historically, and the Jets know they'll get 70,000 punters turning up to their games whether they're competitive or not, where's the incentive to win?
American Prem owners finding out the same, the hard way; Henry & Werner especially.
How long has Ryan been HC? Five years at least and all they've done is go from pretty poor to bl00dy awful.
Go Bills!

Pretty poor?
Not sure I'd classify 2 AFCCGs as poor. They've drafted fairly poorly, and Rex isn't head coach material mind
The incentive to win is the same as anywhere else. Winning is its own reward. Try telling Parcells theres no incentive to win.
That said Woody is definitely more concerned with making cash and being in the media. The Giants ownership is all about winning though.

Yeah, Five wins between 'em so far this year. Stellar.
Parcells was good, but before he turned up the Giants were terrible for decades - but who cared?
Jets much the same - good in patches maybe, but precious little "character". You really have to be awful to only win two games.

Teams being bad doesn't mean ownership doesn't want to win.
It means ownership is making bad decisions. The Raiders aren't perennial losers because Al Davis didn't care anymore

Re: Ongoing NFL Discussion Thread V
Jets aren't winning 2 games a season because they don't care and know fans will keep attending games. That's silly.
We are a terrible team because we have no franchise QB, poor to mediocre talent at the skill positions, consistently poor coaching on offense, a terrible secondary which has also been decimated by injuries and an entire defense that doesn't generate turnovers to give the lackluster offense an easier shot at scoring. Not to mention Percy Harvin bringing the ball out on every return leading to starting every drive on our own 8 yard line. Also the whole reason we traded away Darrelle Revis was to gain cap space which we failed to utilise and still haven't given Mo Wilkerson an extension yet with the abundance of space we have.
Set this thing on fire and start again by drafting a QB and WR duo at the top of the draft.

Anyone else think the Browns have had the best of Hoyer and they could possibly switch to J. Football?
Hoyer has been steady, but with Gordon back now they could be more explosive.
