They've already thrown caution to the wind and agreed to some action with Cherries.

Gerrard's a difficult one for Olly to take considering he's spent most of the season criticising him

His legs have gone, and hes never had the skill set to play the Pirlo role consistently

They couldn't do that though. Imagine the uproar!! Last season for Gerrard reminded me of Rio Ferdinand during Fergie's last season. Ferdinand was superb all year and it was his swansong before he completely went off the cliff. That's Gerrard now.

Steven Gerrard going to the WC was a big mistake for all parties imo.

Are you joking? Gerrard was exceptional in the deeper role last season

He didn't start the season well, but you can say that about quite a lot of players post world cup, and at the weekend he was superb again.

4 bad games doesn't mean he's past it. He's not the level of player he was, but he is still above the level of a lot of CMs in this league.

You can't write him off on the basis of less than half a dozen games

Gerrard has never done well in these leagues.
