What happened to the proposed comeback??

Did someone talk some sense into him?

No it was a hoax he put together to show how easily people could be taken in by social media

Much egg on the face of the three people who cared.

So the hoax included the film being made about his life? 

That's a shame I was looking forward to "spiceboy the movie" starring David Haye as Ryan Rhodes.

Not sure of that bit being a hoax mate i just know the fighting return bit was

thought the whole hoax story was very silly

Kugan started a rumour, then confirmed it by interviewing ryan rhodes, people believed it, so what? doesn't prove anything regarding social media

if anything made me think it was all a bit arrogant, as in we'll believe anything he tells us

It proves that people will believe absolutely everything they read on social media. There was a story about a women who had plastic surgery to get a third boob, the amount of people who believed that was comical.

Surely all that proves is that some people will do anything for a bit of attention.

There always has been and always will be gullible people in the world, people have been believing forever that there is a man with a white beard who lives in the sky and judges us all


Kugan now access now to boxers, trainers, promoters etc and in fairness to him and IFL they are great in that repsect for bringing great interviews and insights to these guys.  

However, ryan rhodes coming out of retirement wasn't really that unbelievebale considering boxers like ricky hatton came out of retirement, and now even Johnny Nelson talking about coming out of retirement, although i find the whole Johnny Nelson thing much more unbelievable than ryan rhodes.

So what did the whole thing prove? if you ask me nothing, it was all a bit pointless and in my opinion Kugan lost a bit of credibility for it.

I get the feeling from the initial interview that it was a genuine comeback, but someone talked some sense into him.

IFl is a boxing news source. By having direct access to fighters, they break news.
The fact that they set up a hoax story about a boxer who fought 2 years ago coming out of retirement is pretty pathetic. Its hardly the stuff of fantasy. Pair of tossers.

This is what we thought when the "story" first broke...pity, sadness, indifference seem to be the over-riding emotions....that and a longing for the days when old people were nice to kids.

What this has to do with social media I don't know because the reaction to Rhodes coming out of retirement would be the same if the announcement was made by semaphore, smoke signals or delivered by carrier pigeon
