The Flash
Just caught the first episode, started a lot quicker (excuse the pun) than Arrow did, can't wait to find out what Dr Wells is up to.

Re: The Flash
I'm gonna watch it tonight, avoided the temptation of watching the full leaked episode back in the summer. Hope it lives up to the hype and settles faster than arrow which was quite poor at the start.
Certainly on ratings at least the Flash has blown anything the Arrow has done out the water with its premier, will be interesting to see if the hype holds after a few more episodes.

I'm actually rather impressed, rather solid pilot and can't wait to see how this crossed with Arrow!
- Spoiler:
- Oh and did you guys notice the Wayne Tech/Queen Industries Merger report in the newspaper from the future?? :0

Re: The Flash
I just watched the episode and have to say I thought it was a very good pilot and surpassed my expectations. Certainly for me it's of to a far better start than Arrow achieved.
I noticed the same thing as well Bull.

Re: The Flash
I'd agree with West, didn't grab me anywhere near as much as Arrow did initially. However, it was interesting enough that I'll stick with it - the ending with Dr Wells definitley piqued my interest!
With the newspaper being from the future I wonder if there will be flash-forwards in a similar vein to the flashbacks on Arrow?

Re: The Flash
I'm four episodes in and it gets a lot better, the Wells character is getting lots of people talking on forums and fan sites, at some point this season we meet professor zoom/reverse flash so it'll be good to see who that is.

Re: The Flash
Yep I'm still watching it and Arrow. Flash feels more comic and just enjoyable. Not watched this weeks episode on Sky 1 yet but I have read that the crossover episodes are supposed to be really good!

Re: The Flash
This returned to American TV last night, what a comeback episode as well!
- Spoiler:
- we finally get to see time travel, Harrison Wells reveals himself as Edobard Thawne, and kills Cisco! Thankfully it looks like the time travelling will alter that as he's in a promo for a later episode!

Re: The Flash
Just finished watching season 1 and the last episode threw in some good easter eggs but thought the ending was a bit meh.
Will be watching season 2 though as did enjoy it overall.

Re: The Flash
I really wanted to know the beef between the Reverse Flash and the future Flash. All Thawne said was that he "hates the you from the future" to Barry. I guess we'll never know.

If it follows the comic book story line, then it's this.
- Spoiler:
- Eobard longed for the heroic age of the 20th century. Foremost among the super-heroes, in his mind, was Barry Allen, the second Flash. He worshipped him as a hero and as a friend. He knew everything about Barry, keeping a collection of memorabilia about his hero. At the center was Barry's biography, The Life Story of the Flash by Iris Allen. Barry's life became as real to Eobard as did his own. He underwent a Plastomorph operation to make himself look like Barry. One day, he came across Barry's cosmic treadmill in an antique store. He killed the cashier in order to acquire this Holy Grail of Flash collectibles. Now, Eobard had the means to meet his idol. All he had to do then was to somehow duplicate the reaction that gave Barry his superspeed. The ordeal cost him his fortune and shaved years off his life, but he knew that he now had the chance to become Barry's friend and partner. Grabbing the biography for an autograph, Eobard set off to the 20th century on the treadmill.
However, the treadmill's calibration had been affected by the centuries of not being used. It miscalculated his arrival, and Eobard appeared several years after Barry's death, when Wally West was the Flash. His journey had been pointless, or so he thought. Eobard visited the Flash Museum. There, he learned that he was destined to become the Flash's greatest villain: Professor Zoom.
This drove Eobard mad. He began to honestly believe he was Barry Allen. He showed up at Wally's door on Christmas Eve dressed as Barry. For several months, he patrolled the streets of Central and Keystone Citieswith Wally as the Flash. Everything went well and everyone was happy until he began to go mad again. During one battle with the Combine, a Combine agent started to brag that he had killed the Flash after blasting Wally with a cannon. Eobard began to beat him up, saying, "I'm the Flash!" This is when Wally realized that something was wrong, that he was not Barry.
After leaving Wally to die in a Combine trap, Thawne began to completely turn around, fighting Green Lantern, Jay Garrick, Max Mercury, and Johnny Quick. Finally, after finding the biography that Eobard had brought with him in an alley, Wally deduced the villain's true identity. In a showdown at the Flash Museum, Thawne switched to the predominantly yellow costume of his future self, Professor Zoom. Finally, Wally managed to trick Zoom into returning to his own era on the cosmic treadmill. Now powerless, Thawne retained no memories of this journey — but he was left with a deep and bitter hatred for Barry Allen.

- Spoiler:
- So the future Eobard Thawne never actually met Barry until when? In the TV series we see them fighting each other traveling back into time from the future. What year did Barry die? I'm probably missing out some huge info here
