We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
Probably much easier to get motivated to play for AC Milan than QPR. But I agree with Crimey (for once ), Taarabt should be fired for misconduct if this is true.

Utd have 12 points from 8 games, and they've only played Everton from the teams who finished top half last year. And they've been poor so far.
Gonna need to beat the good teams to challenge for fourth spot

Just Arry getting his knickers in a twist. Probs just referring to his lack of match fitness. Thinks he Bertie Big Balls since his loan to one of the worst Milan sides in years.

I think he would be dead and If he wasn't a 12 year old could take him out in a tackle .
He just needs a bit of toning up.

No matter how bad we Liverpool and Man U fans feel about our teams at the moment we can both still laugh at Arsenal.

I think Utd will finish above them in the league, but Liverpool? Doubtful.

Arsenal may be behind . but have a much better brand of footy going on and have just had to many draws. Bad start but they will improve for sure. They have a set system, great players and a good manager. Liverpool and united are in dissaray at present. Its not just form affecting those two teams.

I wouldn't say Liverpool are in disarray. Just reeling from the loss of one of the best players in the world who was capable of doing things no other player can. The best thing right now is that wins are starting to be ground out anyway. They started slow last year remember, and hopefully when the likes of Lallana, the Spanish full backs, Lovren, Markovic all settle in a bit more a bit of steam will pick up. Wouldn't for a second say we're in disarray.

When their forward line gel, they'll be more exciting that Arsenal, who are not a patch on the 2002-2005 teams.

It's only 8 games into the season, what do fans expect? That we should be challenging for the title? I'm not going to hit the panic button just yet. Long time to go, we'll have a better understanding after Christmas.

The plan. Give to di maria and he then whacks it. Its ridiculous.
There midfield is shocking. Blind and herraria were a downgrade on cleverley fellani or Carrick. That is how bad they are. They also splashed on a ball hog who either runs it out of play or just smashes it in to the box when united have no one with the ability to header the ball goal bound.
That prize asset . who is a good footballer granted needs to get a football brain.

Eh, Arsenals defenders have a touch more about them than Uniteds.
Not that Arsenal aren't lightweight (Liverpool too), but United just have no spine.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Arsenal have always dealt with a lack of quality at the back(as specific defenders) for a long time and defend as a unit by playing a certain way and rarely leak goals. Why would man u and Liverpool laugh at arsernal. Arsenal are just a top 4 team and still look like one.
Man u were a team vieing for the best in the world , had a bad season last year and dispite spending 200m still look worse without fergie. And not just worse but much worse. Liverpool were close to being the best pl team last year and now do not. Arsenal still look 3rd or 4th best...
Liverpool sadly have lost suraez and a younger Gerard (2 they can't replace) and sturridge. Luckily sterling could become a great..and hendo may be able to Marshall the midfield.. But they will struggle for the top 4 this season.
Man u dispite they flaws should get top 4. Due to there exceptional individuals. But these players are not playing as a team yet.
I am sure many neautrals would love to see Southampton or everton take a top 4. But in reality its not going to happen. Tottenham would be the team to sneak in if united and Liverpool keep this bad form up.

Sorry but thats all nonsense. Blind and Herrera are clearly better than Cleverley and Fellaini and you've watched very little Di Maria if you think thats his game

Di Maria is running round like a headless chicken at present trying to do it all. Like Rooney does on occasion because the rest are just not up to the level. They need to find what will utilise him and the players around him in the best way. Which is so tough because united are a lop sided team.
Herrera and blind are so not good enough for a team that wants to be one of the best. It's embarrassing how bad they are. And if they are an upgrade it's minor. If you think any different you have bought into hype.. That's all.

As a previous fan of Arry. I can safely say no chance.....
Mourinhio or Martinez(down the line) would be my ideal picks. And yes that's from someone who bought in to the English manager or none before hand..... But at least those two have a real passion for the English game..
If we have to go English. Stuart Pearce ..

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Blind and Herrera are a massive upgrade on Cleverley and Fellaini, Centre midfield is the hardest position to play in when you're adapting to a new team, far too early to right the pair off.
A new team doesn't just click straight away, Rojo isn't going to step in and instantly be a solution to our problems nor Shaw, lets go back many a year and see how Vidic and Evra were doing this early in their United careers. The same is true of Carrick who took months to get a regular starting spot but thankfully back then we had a blend of experienced and young players who had been at the club for years.
Of our current squad only Rooney, Rafael, Evans and Valencia have been here for longer than 5 years which says a lot really in comparison to previous seasons. It's to be expected that everyone wants to see Van Gaal fail and most notably Man United in general but a rebuilding process does take time, it's not a quick fix.

not sure why everyones is panicking about us, were improving and have loads of players settling in to a new team and new league. lvg has clearly improved the squad, something moyes failed to do despite being backed with money. its not going to happen over night but we will get there, id rather have uniteds squad over arsenals, we have looked poor at the back gelling a new defence together, arsenal have looked just as poor with a settled defence. id take any of our cbs over the boat mertesacker

he's the manager, its up to him who he buys and who he doesn't, we arent spurs!!!
poor signings or no signings go down against the manager just like rodgers is getting stick. moyes thought he could carry on where fergie left off

Considering United bottled Fabregas, bottled Herrera and could only get in Fellaini, I don't think Moyes can take the blame for the transfer policy

remind me again who's job it is to target players
pretty easy to say i want messi and ronaldo then let ed take the flak when he cant sign them, he didn't do a bad job this summer with a different manager in charge and without the lure of champions league football like moyes had.
so ed does a great job with lvg in charge but rubbish with moyes in charge and its all woodward's fault yes?

nonsense, i choose to judge on things i can see not made up stories that you haven't a clue what really went on, like my previous post i can judge that evidence. if moyes couldnt attract the big players then its a black mark against his time at united. his transfer dealings were poor

i would have been laughed at if i told you that di maria, falcao, blind, herrera, rojo would all be playing at united before this season started. ive been delighted with the bodies weve got in this season. just need a top cb now but they dont exactly grow on trees. just see luiz and loveren fees for bang average ones to see that

Yes, 2 teams overpaid for CBs so why bother.
Hell why bother getting an authoritative figure in midfield. Or the 2 CBs we need, and competition for Rafael when we can sign millions of attackers
