First topic message reminder :
Probably much easier to get motivated to play for AC Milan than QPR. But I agree with Crimey (for once ), Taarabt should be fired for misconduct if this is true.

I would just love to see the consistently poor performers dropped!! Is there any other team In the world where players can be so consistently awful and still get guaranteed a start?? My prediction, a solid team performance that is wasted because ballo misses any chance he gets and another Johnson mistake will lead to a Chelsea goal and cost us the game!

Is Ramires the most useless player at a top four club? Yes.

I'm with olly on this one to be honest. Another grim performance, deserved sweet FA from the game and that's what we got. Cue BR talking about how we deserved a pen etc etc. yes I think it was a pen, but that doesn't alter the fact that we have been outclassed again. There has only been 1 game this season when I have felt we have been the clear better team, all the rest we have been at best 50/50 but more often we are clear second best.

I can remember courtois making one save all game. Second half down low. That's it.

Their losing patience now the United fans, can sense it. It's too slow still, no creativity & lacklustre, against a poor Palace side. Ferguson sat down in the stands but he earnt the right to do it, after creating such an empire, LVG has gone in there & just looks dis-interested on the sides, clinging onto his stupid clipboard. He should be out there shouting & showing the United fans that he's passionate about what he's taken on. For me, no improvement whatsoever since Moyes left, just a huge chunk of cash thrown at fixing problems - that haven't been fixed.

overall pretty pleased with the performance, felt we dominated and created plenty of opportunities, but a little bit wasteful in the final third. Liverpool's defense is a real worry, and they didn't really create much either going forward. Balotelli could really do with learning the offside rule...

on a side note, the best thing about Chelsea's first goal for me (aside from the fact it was given of course ), was the lack of surrounding and shouting at the referee (from either team). Technology indicates ball over the line, ref gives goal, everyone moves on with their lives. Remind me why this has taken so long to be put in place again?

Awful game from United but a win is a win. Worrying that despite our 'stella' names up top we don't really look like doing much offensively
Thought Shaw had a solid game, looks to be settling down a bit more now
A few instances aside thought McNair looked decent, even brought the ball forward at times when others seemed content to just pass from side to side
Still don't see why Januzaj got given 11, not done much to earn it for me
Mata's goal celebration...lot of pent up frustration release during that

Just as well QPR not managed by Neil Warnocl atm. Cardiac units would be on red alert when QPR had goal disallowed after Joe Hart's howler...

13 for Agüero, is it? Anytime Agüero scores, and Citeh don't win is a good time.

Disappointing result but decent performance, was always going to be a bit of an odd game when Villa didnt have Benteke. Feel we should have won. Kudos to Nathan Baker for playing through the pain and consistently doing just enough at the last minute, thought he was very good today. No idea why Carroll came on in stoppage time, should have been on at 80 mins to go full gusto

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Basically under the Moyes' reign, the team was a mess, big players were missing or unhappy & his emergence playing alongside the likes of Fellaini, Cleverley & Fletcher, made him look 'unbelievable'. The media got carried away too, which didn't help things. To me, he looks pretty average & he lacks any serious pace, which is essential really in the PL.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Yeah, can't argue with that. Januzaj was the bright light for United last year, but now the big stars have returned from injuries & other big marquee signings have been made, he's being made out to look distinctly average & not the 'world class' potential some pundits were ridiculously stating.
I would be worried for United but I'm actually not. I think they will get top 4, not because they are that great, but because Liverpool look awful, Everton/Spurs never achieve it & Southampton will inevitably drop down the order, once they endure a few injuries & play the big sides, instead of these easy home games vs Sunderland, Stoke & Leicester.

Watching soccer saturday, sounds like you should have won.
Fair play to the lads for holding out for a point.
Guzan making a top draw save from Edge right at the end.
A much needed point after our terrible run.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Southampton have done such good business in signing Koeman. It may not last forever, their current run, but they've got a manager who's perhaps more accustomed to life as the hunted. Quite often, and I suspect it's beginning to happen with West Ham (sorry Chris), when a unfancied team is flying high, it's also new territory for the manager, and they seem to have a brain fade re: "What happens now". Think Koeman is a little more accustomed, so Southampton will be better equipped to handle the inevitable dip.

Not sure thats fair on Januzaj. He was good, no matter that United werent great. Hes now having to settle with another new manager in a team still disjointed and is very young. Not started a great deal of games and not sure he's been used right either this year

None taken, though I'm not sure Sam will be fazed. Probably feels reasonably like his Bolton days when they pushed high up the table.
Still not surprised by Southampton. Every player they sold they upgraded on, theyve been spending a lot of money since being promoted and they have benefited from big clubs going through struggles of form and confidence

Yep, I agree the technology worked and there was no controversy. In the past a decision one way or the other would have sparked such acrimony. FIFA is a crap and corrupted world body that is why it took so long. Right now the technology exists with the money in the game to have an instantaneous offside system as well that is equally accurate but it will not happen.

Watching QPR vs. United was just horrifically dull. And Chelsea vs LFC was almost as boring. The league is down this year big time. Chelsea could go unbeaten.

Congrats to the ref for seeing it and being spot on but it does seem a strange rule. Overly generous to the defending team in my view.
