Wasps v Harlequins ERC Round 2 - Page 2 Empty Wasps v Harlequins ERC Round 2

Post by yappysnap Fri Oct 24, 2014 1:06 pm

First topic message reminder :

Both teams had the opposite games last weekend, Wasps starting well but dropping off in the second half, Quins starting very slowly but finishing in total control.

If it goes like that again then it could be a real see saw (Irish-Style) game.

Sinckler was doing fine when Mullan wasn't allowed to bore in. That said, Collier looks less likely to be conned in the scrum - but isn't quite as good in the loose.

I thought the ref did a good job of letting the game flow but missed quite a lot as well. Did anyone else see Goode's rabbit-punch on Brown's ribs that led to Brown's (actually very restrained in the circumstances) retaliation? It was on the far side of the TJ, so he didn't pick it up.

Tbf Synckler got the first scrum going forward, and at least one other was Wasps just wheeling, he did though allow himself to be rattled by Mullan and got involved in too many handbags. Collier is looking far better this season, i'm drastically having to re-evaluate my opinion on him, and Lambert too who was a lot more effective then Marler.
