Lovely goal that was. Never feel relaxed against the Scottish though.

Fantastic ball by Shaw and a great finish by Rooney. But yes let's dismiss Rooney and drop him from the side.

You get so defensive about United players. Shaw was good last night and has started to look the part for United in the last couple of games too.

I have always said that I think Gibbs should be first choice and I stand by that still. He is better than Shaw. But Shaw should be ahead of Baines, based on his current form.

But you are blinkered if you can't admit Wilshires pass for the first goal was brilliant. Inch perfect. About time he did something decent for England.

I get so defensive because this league is full of anti United propaganda.

Gibbs needs to stay fit before he can think about being first team, he is better than Baines but Shaw? Not a snowballs chance in hell.

Ok it was a decent pass but not a Pirlo defence splitting world class pass. Anything Wilshere does is exaggerated a trillion times, even Sodhat would look good against Scotland and these other made up European countries.

I will do injuries for the league, can someone else do lawyers.

When you've got mentioning no names (GSC) hoping for Rooney, England's best player since 2004 and one of the greatest English players of all time to be dropped from the side you know very well it's a wum attack on United. Nobody says anything about Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool or City players. How many of you here (Afro and Hero really as the rest probably weren't even born) viciously abused Beckham after 98?

To me Viva the problem is at the world cup is we were fitting round pegs into square holes just to accommodate Rooney who was out of form (granted not the only one).

When he's on form, fines he's Englands best player. He played well last night. As did Shaw. Wilshere too. Clyne was outstanding, esp in that atmosphere as a newcomer.

Downing was terrible and that's not a wum at soddy

Downing was abysmal, looked out of place and hurried and his passing was poor.

He better not come back and play like that because I'll be calling for a ban on any West Ham players going to play for England (granted, we don't have that many candidates)

We are not anti-United. We are open minded and find fault with United players. You don't seem to be able to be objective.

When United deserve praise, they get praise. When United deserve criticism, they get criticism. Same with any club though, not just United.

Wilshere has owed England some performances as he has been poor for a while before this year, and he has had a lot of criticism because of it. But that pass was inch perfect, and deserves credit. If Scholes or Pirlo had done it, everyone would be going overboard, so why not give Wilshere some credit where it's due.

And take your United glasses off for a second. There is probably not much between Gibbs, Baines and Shaw, yet you are making out that Shaw is head and shoulders above them. Personally, I think Gibbs is the better of the three, then Shaw and then Baines, but wouldn't argue with anyone putting them in any order.

I'm not upset, but it does annoy a little bit this feeling that we are anti United every time anyone dares question a United player.

Thinking Rooney hasn't been playing well enough to start for England, or thinking Shaw has been poor for United until recently doesn't make you anti-United.
