Scotland V New Zealand - November 15th
First topic message reminder :
Scotland v New Zealand
Date: Saturday, November 15
Venue: BT Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Kickoff: 17:30 local (GMT)
Referee: Romain Poite (France)
Assistant Referees: Johnny Lacey (Ireland), Stuart Berry (South Africa)
TMO: Gareth Simmonds (Wales)
************************
Right this isn't one of your GC fancy pants matchday threads, I'm in charge this time.
Had originally considered calling it the 'Kiwi Krushing Kelebration' thread, but realized that'd be an inappropriate acronym...
Now onto the game, normally you'd expect to read about form / head to head here, but for reasons which I'll go onto none of that really matters because this is the year that we will finally beat the All Blacks!
Now what makes me so sure you ask, well quite simply, I've a cast iron, 100% scientific theory that proves that next weekend we will at long last neutralize New Zealand.
2003 England win the Rugby World Cup - 3 years later they lose at Murrayfield
2007 South Africa win the Rugby World Cup - 3 years later they lose at Murrayfield
2011 New Zealand win the Rugby World Cup - 3 years later...
Quite simply and to quote Tinie Tempah, it's "written in the stars".
Teams to be announced (not that it matters).

15 Stuart Hogg (Glasgow Warriors); 25 caps
14 Sean Maitland (Glasgow Warriors); 14 caps
13 Mark Bennett (Glasgow Warriors), 1 cap

Come on boys. 1 point in it. Nearly half time.
More support at the breakdown and tighten up a bit and we can stay in this

Soft penalty again...
Hmm carter goes for the corner not the posts... He looks low on confidence.

Too many silly errors from Scotland. Too many coming in from the side of the ruck from NZ

We need to build on the numbers. Our line out is much better than theirs. We need to exploit that.

Re: Scotland V New Zealand - November 15th
Decent half from Scotland. Had a go at them, stolen some lineouts, got 'em on the back foot a time or two and still in touch at 40 mins. Not bad

Re: Scotland V New Zealand - November 15th
Well I would have taken that half time score before the match, a one score game and we are still in it. A tremendous forward effort and good tackling by all. We are going to tire though, so glad we have Beattie and dents to come on, this is going to be some hard game. The longer we are in it, the greater our chance, so many times we have lost the game by half time!

Scotland need to keep the ball longer, show more patience and support the ball carriers better.

Can't believe we're only 4 points behind despite not playing well (good in defence) - real opportunity here!

Dan Carter is making Priestlands earlier performance look good...! Russell looks set for the lions ten shirt at the moment.

toooooo many mistakes...NZ not doing anything to negate Scotlands tight inside defence, something we knew was key to their match last week.

If the ref is going to ping a single squint scrum feed he has to ping every single one. Its such a joke! That last feed was to the 2nd row and he was looking straight at it!

Vito was very good player in the NZ 7s team for a number of seasons.
PS aside from the knock on, there was a NZ obstruction before their try in the preceding passage of play.
