Saw a tweet that Angle/EC3 was shifted from the Slammiversay card.  If that is true, the move makes sense to me.  This PPV is making no money for anyone, better to screen these on TVS and try to hold the DA deal right now.

Ive heard thats a work, and it will actually airwith 5 minutes to go and cut out transmission just as they start to fight. Which will be a work itself, with the show coming back 15 mins later cutting into some other show that they will claim are not competition for ratings, but really a possible partnership.

And I for one look forward to Spencer and Eugene from Fishy Business leading the invasion angle in TNA.

Has that been confirmed by Meltzer?

LOL that MUG Meltzer reckons TNA have dropped it due to poor viewership likely on Slammiversary and thinks that Fishy Business are actually DA's new action packed wrestling alternative.

Apparently Tyson Kidd is scheduled for surgery and could face up to a year out of action, both Edge and Austin have reached out to him, indicating its a similar type of injury. Its also thought that it was a fluke, and NOT a direct result from taking the Muscle Buster from Joe.

Mark Henry is in hot water over the Elimination Chamber debacle. Apparently when he entered he was to be eliminated by Dolph, then go on the rampage and take out both Ziggler and Ryback, before Sheamus revealed his ruse, eliminate Ziggler before eventually losing to Ryback. However, Henry leaving his pod early messed up those plans. To be fair to him what was he meant to do? Stay in a broken pod like a fanny?

Thanks. Apparently subsequent TV has been filmed, suggesting that little will happen of note in this show. Which doesn't mean it won't be worth watching, but it is more likely to be a build PPV, and I think there is no English commentary. Again, the latter wouldn't put me off. As I can't watch it tonight, I think I'll see how the reviews come in and let me know if you see it House. I've a slot Tues evening when I'd love to watch it, if its good. Otherwise, I guess parts might turn up on AAA's YouTube channel in a few weeks.

I'd highly recommend DStT, followed by Styles/Suzuki, Shibata/Honma, Nakamura's/Ishii and Nakamura/Okada, I never watched the LWC and reviews I saw weren't promising (outside of Court Bauer who has a vested interest) so let me know what you think

It's June 28th but their taping shows for the weeks after beforehand so doesn't make too much sense if someone else is gunna win the title. They will have to change the match on the taping which then gives the PPV away

Raw viewing figures went up by about 0.5M this week, to about 4.1M.

And Impact viewing figures well up too. 347,000 (up from 330,000) and 102,000 (up from 74,000). These still aren't game-changing numbers (413,000 and 157,000) were what they were getting on the last Friday show. But at least they are in the right direction.

I think the really interesting number will be the July 1, coming off Slammiversary with the Angle / EC3 match and about a month on from the change in day. I think they have to pull at least 600,000 for that show.

Following on from the ratings for Impact going up, the ratings for ROH went down this week:
272,000 viewers - down 10% from last week's total of 301,000 viewers.

Total for Impact 449,000 was up 12% from last week.

Although still not back to the Friday night slot, it does show that IMPACT has its audience on DA - I think the above is incredibly significant for wrestling on DA as it puts into question whether they should show wrestling as opposed to keeping TNA.

What I mean by that is although I am basing this on one weeks figures, it points to TNA being the better received product, but that comes at the cost of higher production values for DA. IF a cheap program like ROH is not going to draw in viewers, do they just scrap wrestling altogether.

My hope is that this is positive news for TNA as it shows that it has a hardcore audience and that they will keep them. As long as they get over 500k for the July 1st episode, I think they will be alright.

I assume your 500K is a number for the first run, not the total.  I think with the factors leading into that July 1 show you have to expect more than a circa 10% hike on this week's total number.  My 600K number was based on both shows, so I think we are kind of close if that was your thinking.

But there seemed to be some factor that if you subscribe to the RoH webiste, you can't watch their show until it has aired on Destination America. So pushing it back a number of days to when you could have seen it. The other syndicated TV shows are unaffected. I don't know how many people this affects, but I think the change was made with no real communication to them and wasn't so well received by their subscribers. Seems like a bit of a shot in the foot to me, but as I said I'm really hazy on the details.

Until I saw this. I was just thinking that the DA agreement was seen by Ring of Honor as a nice thing. You know it gave them a bit more reach particularly places on the East Coast, but they weren't really much deeper into this and they already had these tapes, so what can they lose? And that seemed to be backed up by a 6 month deal and not really waiting for a stand-out episode of RoH to start this, etc.

Changing the terms for paying subscribers on their website, is an indication that they might see a bit more in this. I mean, it could easily be something that DA absolutely agreed to, but either way, they went for it.

Who knows what the plans are wrt Sinclair. I think we will know more when this 6 month deal runs its course and a new contract is put in place.

I'm sure Adam probably has more info / thoughts. But to me, these would have the fingerprints of Billy Corgan over them. In his interview when he took over, I'm pretty sure that he said he had some degree of input into hiring and firing and I can see freshening up the roster, moving a few people on and replacing them with some new talent.

Gunner is obviously the bigger loss of the two but I quite liked Shaw as well.

The biggest worry is that Aries goes. Hopefully the money saved on these two will pay for Aries.

Most of the wrestlers at TNA have a small contract that is topped up by appearances. Both Gunner and Shaw havent been on TV in months so it makes sense for them to request to leave. Gunner is a big loss in my opinion.

I've seen early rumours of Gunner to NXT. I've not really been keeping a close eye on it, but I didn't think there was another set of NXT tapings until mid-July and that tends to be when they recruit, so right now I'm more thinking that is people putting 2 and 2 together.

Again, I'm sure you know more about this stuff than I do Adam. But as far as I know Gunner's Twitter is TNA_Gunner. So, I'd not know if that is his own, or is "owned" by TNA. In either case I'd expect him to get a new one. But my point is that in the Tweets I saw he didn't mention contact me for bookings. Most wrestlers do when they are available. So either Gunner just didn't do this, he's looking to take a break. Or he does indeed have something lined up.

I'd agree that if worked right, Gunner could walk into most promotions and add something to them.
