People on this forum actually said it was fine to put out the reserves against Madrid because the last 2 games were winnable

The irony with that being the reserves did better away than the first choice team did at home.

Maybe if Brenda hadn't selected two DM's and chosen Henderson to play left wing at the expense of Lallana and Coutinho, in a must win game...

It was a dive but swinging your arm at someones face is dangerous play regardless

Terrible decision by the ref, but why thrust your arm towards the player in the first place? He was running away from the player, so he really didn't need to.

He gave the ref a decision to make that he shouldn't have.

Markovic looked, and swung his arm out, poking the Basel player in the eye. Wasn't a dive, wasn't feigned injury, accident or not he swung his arm and caused it, so ref probably had no choice.

Morning all,

Only caught the last twenty minutes or so. Liverpool don't deserve to be in next round, Basel got four points in the two games, Liverpool got one. That's what killed them.

After winning against Ludogorets (luckily as well), they got 2 points from their remaining 5 games. And in a much easier group than Man City (if City go out as well).

Funny thing about Man U needing City to beat Roma, as if Roma stay in the Champions League they wont sell Strootman in January!

You can't swing an arm like Markovic did. The contact is incidental because the intent was to throw an arm and it's potentially dangerous.

Andy Townsend was on top form last night. I thought he was going to combust when Liverpool nearly snuck a lucky own goal. Surely someone has to have a word with him and ask if he could hide his hideous bias just a little bit.

Liverpool have been woeful this season or as others would say back to their normal selves. I'm glad they're in the Europa cup it gives them two extra games to play at the very least.

But you have to have Sinisa and Koeman. Two of the very best free kick tackers I've seen.

Stuart Pearce?

Kevin Sheedy! His retaken free kick v Ipswich, where he scored both, in opposite corners

Chilavert's free kicks were better. Didn't Ceni score more of his goals through penalties.

I might be wrong, but I thought Chilavert had got more free kicks

Just checked and it says Ceni has the record for free kicks scored: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_goalscoring_goalkeepers

Tough though - the real measure would be ratio of kicks taken vs kicks scored.

Ceni is quite a bit ahead of Chilavert too.

Top British scoring keepers. Ernie Scattergood and George Kitchen.

We might not get the most goals, but we have the best names!

Two Playstations boom suck on that Sodhat.

Last of us is truly an amazing game, top 3 games I played on the ps3. Injustice gods among is available to download free from the playstation store providing you've got psplus.

They had plants vs zombies for free on the weekend (my subscription finished then) don't know if its still there and you can download the original Playstation theme so when you start th console the original playstaion theme song plays. Its for the 20 year anniversary.

Twist, you should join LSTD's league on JA606. I'm there, and a couple of vacancies. The league does need a reboot as been years now, but there's always deals to be done, especially with someone new who might sell their best players on the cheap Whistle
