Q&A with Dan Tuohy of Ulster
I have been tweeting with Daniel Tuohy of Ulster and he has very kindly agreed to run a Q&A session with us.
If anyone has any questions that they would like to ask, please post them below and I will collate to send to him.
Hopefully, we will also recieve back the Q&As from Marcel Garvey of recently promoted Worcester this week too. Good times.

Re: Q&A with Dan Tuohy of Ulster
How much of an influence have the South African signings, particularly Muller and Wannenburg had on the team this season?

Have you seen Rory Best's bulls? Are they as big as they say?

Didn't you score a try on your international debut against the all blacks? I believe that was the game where Heaslip got a red car after giving Ritchie McCaw a shoeing.

You missed out on the Six Nations due to injury- do you feel you have a chance of featuring in the August test matches for Ireland?
Will Ulster win a trophy in the next few seasons?

I'd like to ask him if he had a hard time as a child for having such an unusual name.
Tell him the question came from Sydney Arbourbridge

Given the choice would you prefer:
1 To play in the final of the WC, but lose, or
2 Ulster to win the Heineken Cup, but you miss the final?
(no aspertions cast obviously)

Has playing alongside Johann Muller helped improve your own game?

You came off in the last league game with what looked like a nasty hamstring pull. How is that now?
What would constitute a success next season for Ulster and for Dan Tuohy

Which other Irish lock would you like to line up with internationally? Who would compliment your style of play best?

Re: Q&A with Dan Tuohy of Ulster
I think why Ireland and not England is a very valid question. Born and raised in England, played for a few years in England and then moved to Ireland and played internationally. Would he have preferred to have represented England?
Re: Q&A with Dan Tuohy of Ulster
Dan played Irish age group rugby at every stage, though, so there clearly has never been much doubt about where his loyalties lie. Although that's interesting in itself, and I'd like to hear about that.
How does he feel about his old Exeter team-mate and Ulsterman Lewis Stevenson coming back to the fold? Did he speak to Lewis before he signed up to reurn in February? Or, indeed, did Lewis speak with Dan before he signed?
How does he feel about slotting in at six?

Also, I don't apologise for my question. It is a valid one and one that does mean something to me who was born and lived in England till I was 8. I felt Irish when I lived there and I'm wondering did he feel the same.

Dan, what is your fondest memory of your time spent with the Chiefs and what have you made of their premiership campaign this season?

Easy tiger! Nobody was criticising your question. In fact it was a compliment I paid you. I know you may not be used to that and all, like, innit.

Excellent question.
That he either won't answer or else will name Paul O'Connell. A 25 year old international who will be aimng for a starting berth post World Cup is going to be very careful with his words.

Growing up, who was your sporting idol?
If you weren't a rugby player, what other career would you have liked to have done?
What is that one favorite memory that stands out above all the others?

What doubts might you have had over beginning a career in rugby union?
How have your feelings on the game changed over the years? (From your transition presumably of a fan and sometime-player to that of a professional athlete).
Blur or Oasis?
