Another black kid shot by Police near Ferguson

Apparently a kid named Antonio Martin has been shot on the forecourt of a petrol station which has sparked clashes with police being bombarded with rocks and bottles which led to teargas being thrown to try and disperse the crowd.

People suggesting that it was more then an hour after he was shot that an ambulance was called despite bleeding from being shot.

St Louis Police are claiming that a handgun was pointed at the police officer...

Well this one shouldn't take long to prove surely all Petrol Stations have a security camera

I'd go further and make it that If a Cop pulls over a Black guy and he's found not to have broken any laws....

Calling an 18-year a c.unt and a nasty piece of work based and saying his behaviour led to his death is hardly your finest work. The version that he jumped at the cop like he was Rambo is not undisputed. You've chosen to believe the version of events given out by police force which had multi million dollar case hanging over them, and a cop who was facing rather serious charges. That's your perogative, but accusing me of having a chip because I tend to think any system which leads to unarmed youths as young twelve being shot and killed being justifiable is probably not working is pathetic. Extremely so.

I wasn't making a statement of fact, or really my own opinion, just highlighting that I don't like sweeping undefined statements like "police do shoot a disproportionately large number of black people".

He was stopped by a police officer, after committing a crime, and rather than simply exercising his first amendment rights he decided to just attack the police officer.

How fecking ignorant do you have to be to not thinkhis behaviour contributed to his death...??!!

You do forget the term "allegedly" a lot. Like I told Truss, a few months ago, post a thread about officers killing a white kid and I will comment. I don't post one up because I don't post these threads up. Point one racial article we've ever had on here which I posted. Heck point one Political article. A religious one? Oh that's right, there are none, because I've never written one. I just comment. Literally dozens of unarmed youths being shot in the States, and I've written a piece on none of them. That definitely shows how big my chip is.

And re 'allegedly', his surrender is more 'alledged' than the fact he went for the officer. Or that he'd just mugged a store clerk.

So is there physical evidence of this, or anecdotal evidence which can't be dusputed? Why did the cop fire six shots, wait three seconds, then fire four? Was he being attacked by Rasputin? Should he be applauded for not resorting to a silver knife and decapitation? All evidence could be swung both ways, the majority white grand jury seemed to see it the same way... Imagine that

Well for starters he's on video mugging the store clerk, so that's indisputable.

I can't excuse or justfiy the way the officer shot him, and I think there was more to the case than we know and that he should've faced greater punishment as his actions were 'fishy' to say the least. But there were more corroborating witness statements testifying to Brown going for the officer than there were that he was unequivocally on his knees with his hands up surrendering (as his supporters try to claim).

My point has always been that Brown's actions contributed to his death. And as such it is a wholly seperate incident to Garner.

And, re your chip, it manifests itself in discussing policing issues, nowhere else. Not calling you a racist, at all.

Yeah... interesting how you're the only person who comes to that conclusion. Debate my last point, which evidence was beyond doubt? Why was there a pause in the rattling of bullets? If the poor cop was assaulted and barely managed to get his gun, why are there bruises on Brown's face? Why does the cops view that he Shot Brown while Brown was reaching for his gun (I.e arm adducted to opposite shoulder) contradict the coroners report (ie arms are abducted). Choose to believe what you wish. But pretending there are no inconsistencies and that this was the best way to handle the situation is your perogative, not mine.

I find it amusing a South African is moaning about the Cops in America being racist.

There is no chip... In South Africa the police have a murder rate of 51 per 100 000, your "petrified" don't even have half that. Believe it or not, ours are yet to shoot a 12-year old holding a toy gun, and they are the definition of trigger happy useless. Maybe my problem is with a system which creates a margin error for killing unarmed defenceless civilians?
