Agree. Kiko Alonso looked a big talent in his rookie season but alot of this trade depends on how he comes back from his injury.

With no 1st round, pick it makes sense for the Bills to look at trades and free agency to build this offseason. I presume this will mean CJ Spiller is done in Buffalo. I wonder what will happen with Fred Jackson? I think Brandon Spikes will be likely to return to the Bills.

Does this mean the Eagles are targeting Gurley or Gordon in the draft or will they look towards free agency to pick up a running back? There looks like plenty of depth amongst the RB free agents such as Murray, Spiller, Ingram, Forsett, Gore, Vereen, Ridley, Bush to name a few.

The NFL is going trade mad this offseason. The Jets are pairing Brandon Marshall with Eric Decker. Wonder if they will go again with Geno Smith or be looking at someone like Marcus Mariota in the draft.

If I were the Jets I would give Geno Smith another season. He has had some bad games but shown glimpses of talent in others.

Why is Brandon Marshall a locker room cancer? Alshon Jeffery's development can be attributed to his mentoring. Why is a 5th rounder for Brandon Marshall not a good deal? Is it because it's the Jets and they can't do anything right?

I think everything points towards the Jets going with Geno next year (or at least preparing for it). We brought in Chan Gailey who has experience of maximising less talented QB's and runs a system that Geno was familiar with in college. I'm okay with it to be honest.

He had well documented mental health issues and seemed to have sorted them out in Chicago. The new regime in Chicago hasn't worked with him so the trade can hardly be called getting rid of a locker room cancer.

I don't know what else to say. Even if you perceive him to be the cliched "locker room cancer", it's still only a 5th round pick for a Pro Bowl level talent. I don't see how this isn't a positive trade for the Jets.

Maclins a good, not great player. Before Chip he was perennially that guy on the cusp of being a good player. Now he heads to KC to play with a QB who cant get his WRs the ball.

That's not to say you can replace him with anyone, but an Andre Johnson or Dwayne Bowe would rather easily fill the void I suspect.

Just caught up with some of the news, my initial thoughts

Marshall to Jets - He's a quality player and a 5th rd pick isn't excessive but the third team to get rid of him makes it a big risk

Suh to Dolphins - insane amount of money for a defensive lineman who isn't JJ Watt

McCoy/Alonso trade - I reckon the Eagles win this one if Alonso is anywhere near as good as he looked the season he was healthy. With Gore coming in, if they draft a RB (of which there are plenty in this draft apparently) I can't see how this isn't a win with the cap implications too

Maclin to Chiefs - Smith can't throw outside, they'd have been better off going for a top quality slot guy/TE

Maxwell to Eagles - I think he's a bit overrated, and this might not be the best move, but they needed a corner and had the cash so whatever

$47.5/5 is a pretty good deal, $1 less per year would have been gravy but I'm not going to complain. Would obviously love to see Revis back as well but I don't know how realistic that is. Maxwell just got $63/6 as a benchmark.
