Our DBs are a mess, signing Fletcher to compete for a spot doesn't change that. At this point I'm hoping Butler can repeat his SB performance every week and Dennard finds some form again.

Seriously lacking a #1 CB, but Ryan and Dennard have played well enough before to suggest they can be competent #2's and Arrington/Butler seem like good slot guys. And safety is taken care of with McCourty and Chung. It's not that bad, can be coached/schemed around

His draft grade would have been largely projection based anyway so if you add in this factor then there's not a whole lot of upside to taking him in the first round. I don't rate him at all.

Exactly. That was my argument regarding the Josh Gordon suspension. People were saying "It's only weed", but it's the rules of the NFL. Why can't people follow them regardless of their personal opinion on the subject.
