Manny and Floyd agree terms...
Apparently: http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/news/12040/9644358/manny-pacquiao-paves-way-for-possible-clash-with-floyd-mayweather-in-2015
Still far from a done deal though, obviously. Still, it's edging closer.

Been there before. Ball is with Floyd who will probably make a new offer thus the old one gets scrapped, all because his ego can't cope with the thinking that Pacquiao may be getting too much and he must have more more more more.
Sigh, isn't going to happen.

There'll be some wet pants if that gets made. Either Pacquiao wins and reduces a few trolls on here to incontinence.
Or Floyd wins and is crowned the best ever.
Time to buy some shares in TENA Ladies.

Come on Manny throw more punches than Maidana, with more variety, speed and accuracy. Use your footwork now that Mayweathers legs are gone.
Manny show the world why Mayweather has lived in fear of you all these years.

Standard preface: I'll believe it when they have gloves on
but...
I'd go for a Manny win. Both fighters have declined but I belive the most significant factor is the fact Floyd is easier to hit than ever before.

Re: Manny and Floyd agree terms...
I think Floyd is going to manhandle Manny and knock him out late.
Most of Floyds opponents back off when they get hurt and are happy to go the distance. There is genuine needle between these guys and Pacquiao will come forward and fight hard to the end. Also I think Floyd will try and be more aggressive late in the fight. Manny is much better than Hatton but I see a similar ending. Floyd will quickly adapt after couple rounds then pick Manny off all night with the right hand.
I know the likely pick with most is points for either guy but I'm sticking to this prediction and might put a couple of quid on it.

You being serious?
If Pacquiao were to win I think it could be stoppage too.
I am a big Floyd fan but also highly rate Pacquiao so can't wait for this. Just a pity they didn't fight 5 years ago.

Can't see Mayweather by stoppage. This could well be the fight that Floyd morphs into Hopkins. It could be a stinker.

Just hope it will be a good fight. Boxing could do with an enjoyable megafight. Hope its nothing like Wlad vs Haye.

Who knows, the fact that both have slowed down might make it more of a spectacle.
Floyd, though, doesn't do good fights. I imagine it will resemble something along the lines of Ali-Frazier 2.

He's the biggest draw in boxing, not sure why that would be a good thing? Be like saying Stephen Hendry losing and retiring was great for the game of snooker because he was one boring twonk.... even though people flocked to watch him.

Re: Manny and Floyd agree terms...
While his ability and talent would be a loss to the sport I don't really agree that losing Floyd now would be bad for the game due to all this 'biggest draw, transcender' etc stuff. Big names come and go and in a few years someone else will have slipped in to Mayweather's place. Dempsey, Louis, Ali, Ray Leonard, Tyson, De la Hoya, Mayweather....Life goes on.
I don't particularly think boxing would struggle any more or any less over the coming years regardless of how and when Mayweather retires, really. While he makes huge money and gets people tuning in / shelling out, I agree with the feeling that he's also had a negative effect (which due to his profile has been allowed to reach a lot further than it should have, unfortunately) in terms of influencing a poor attitude towards matchmaking, encouraging fans and fighters alike to talk as if they're accountants when trying to justify good fights not even making it to the negotiating table, feeding the idea that we should be interested in this stupid wall-to-wall coverage before every single fight, or lapping it up when fighters 'sell themselves' by displaying their 'personality' on Twitter etc.
These problems or the onset of them have been around throughout boxing history, of course, but Mayweather's probably done more to exacerbate them than any of those aforementioned guys, and certainly hasn't done much towards correcting them like some of the others did to differing degrees. The face of boxing he has most certainly been for a while, but has it been a particularly good face for the sport? Open to debate. Great, great fighter but it's only his skills that'll be worth missing once he's gone, I reckon.

Floyds power is underrated! Have you ever listened to ex opponents on his power?
I pick Floyd to tko Manny because I believe Manny will try everything and will not back off and be happy to go the distance. He will keep coming looking for the ko himself. It's just an opinion mate.
F..k all to do with being a fanboy. If he has the power to back up the bigger Mosley or much bigger Alveraz when they are being passive. Then he has enough power to take out an aggressive smaller Manny.

It's more that he's so accurate they take their toll.
You will never, ever see a highlight reel of his knockouts @ 147 - would you?

Roach's tactics will be to work the body, drop the hand then potshot Mayweather's head. Mind you I've been saying that for years and no one's nailed it yet

His power is average but his accumalation does damage. No you wouldn't see a knockout reel especially since he has moved to Welter.
You guys are forgetting that other than Marquez, Floyd hasn't really fought naturally smaller guys since Hatton. Obviously I'm not pig headed or silly enough to say it is a sure thing he stops Manny. It is just a gut feelng I have. Sure everybody can come on here and laugh at me after the fight for my silly predicton.

Fanboy is a bit silly. I just appreciate watching a genuis at work. I have limited knowledge compared to a number of good posters on here but I do know a great fighter when I see one. Floyd might not be the best ever! Though I doubt there will ever be anybody better to follow and the same goes for Manny, another outstanding fighter.
Appreciate them both while they are here. Also if Manny wins the the fight I will be the first to come on here and say he was the better man.

His ex-opponents? Do you mean all the guys he failed to knock-out??
He's ko'd two people above 135lbs - Ricky Hatton and Ortiz, though the latter doesn't really count as it was an undefended sucker punch.
So again, what the heck are you basing your ko prediction on?? His ko record above LW is on par with Paulie Malinaggi FFS and nobody would be backing him to ko a guy known to have a strong chin!!
Didn't see him once back up Canelo, school him, yes, pepper him, yes, back him up? No. Also don't remember him 'backing up' Sugar, sure you're not thinking of when Pac fought SSM???
