We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

I want to take out Costa from my fantasy team due to the ban and replace him with an Arsenal forward as I fancy they are about to go on a goal spree (and no other striker takes my fancy).
Is it Welbeck or Giroud starting these days?
I think giroud is fit. Or walcott is starting to start more. Welbeck isn't fit.

Giroud was top points scorer after Suarez last year I think. I have just made him my captain so fingers crossed.

Not really, ridiculous fans, a club who play for half a season, no ambition but to sell players, no likeability in their side.
The owners deserve it for handicapping their club

Ridiculous fans? No, they are just passionate, care about the club & are some of the most knowledgeable fans in the country, who create one of the best atmospheres in the PL. Pathetic answer. We play for half a season? So your judging the club on last year, one solitary year, we haven't even seen whether or not the side will flourish or fail in the second half of this season, another pathetic point. All we do is sell players? Well wake up mate, not everyone has a sheikh who is willing to blow millions, every club outside the top echelons is essentially a selling club, when the big boys come calling. Have WHU never sold a player to a top club? Another pathetic point you make. Not sure why you've got some kind of hatred towards Newcastle

The owners deserve to be put in the stocks and the fans can pelt them with old eggs.
The fans dont really deserve to go down..
They are possibly the most passionate in the UK(within its own city)- and must be close to the most passionate in the world.
But I thank your stupid owner ashley for Pardew.. He is back on my crimbo card list.

HAHAHAHA Knowledgeable? That c*** doesn't make it past the censors outside of Durham. The atmosphere, which is generally either poisonous or loud because the fickle fat f***s can only cheer when Kevin Keegan is in charge. Too good for Allardyce, too good for Pardew, too good for Ashley. Newcastle United haven't learned their place and never will.
One season? I'll call it two now, cos you have left Carver in charge until the summer. Thats the basic premise of "this season is done."
You exist to do business. Not play football. I don't particularly dislike Newcastle as a whole, but the mix of arrogance and stupidity aimed at Allardyce but mostly Pardew combined with ownership that do not care about achieving anything deserves another little reality check and relegation.
I will take back the likeability though, Ayoze Perez is an incredibly likeable player.

Not sure what DZ is rambling on about. Are the crowd too loud for your precious ears, do you go to matches with ears plugs in, embarrassing. You call it two seasons in a row of oly playing for half a season, even though, in reality, they are only half way through that second season, so you must know what happens to them, what are the lottery numbers tonight? Find it laughable now Allardyce has suddenly had half a good season, your now so quick to protect him or defend his previous reign at NUFC, which was a failure. I've done some research & he spent £30m on garbage - the likes of Alan smith, Joey Barton, abdelaye Faye, Cacapa...... I could go on. The only person who was stupid & out of his depth was Allardyxe, hence the eight Months in charge.
How You've come to the conclusion Newcastle deserve relegation ahead of Sunderland, Hull, LEICESTER, Qpr, Burnley, villa, WBA is beyond me. Utter nonsense.
By the way, I written a letter to St James park to tell them to warn their fans of making too much noise & as it could damage the precious ears of an idiot down in London.

None of that is what I said though is it you embarrassing muppet. There's a reason everyone here laughs at your posts and its cos you're a moron.
The Toon are sometimes loud, mainly when they win a game they didn't expect to. But they turn on any figure of blame quicker than any team in the land. And I hate it. The noise? I'd imagine I can put up with it, I could put up with our lot taking over Wembley so I'll be ok. But as you clearly don't go to any football games outside of your Fifa then I won't worry about your opinion.
I've done some research. Classic. How do you even know they were poor signings? He didn't get given a fair crack with that side. And nor is this Allardyce's first successful season in the Prem, and that's true for us and throughout his career. Good research though, cos Barton especially was a pretty good signing.
I can say that based on the fact they have gone out and bought nobody, haven't hired an actual manager and have literally nothing to play for for half a year again.
Newcastle are a club with a lot of potential. And they do nothing with it. Ever. Of course you know why they deserve such fate above newly promoted teams, teams with much smaller fan bases., much humbler fans and smaller budgets.
You've also either wrote a letter or have written. Plus I'm not in London you absolute tool. Do some research you mong brained Tinkywinky

You're right, my apologies, I find the guy has had a problem with me since day one so can't help getting a bit defensive. But I may have gone a tad far. You can blame Hero for location, he changes it if I put it back to normal!
I wouldn't want Newcastle gone long, it's a basis of a good club, but it needs shaking up

The teams that go down are the ones that deserve to go down.
They may have had some bad luck over the season, but ultimately have not been good enough.

Will you ward of the relegation battle.
I am starting to feel overly confident myself. Which I am not sure is a good sign!!

I heard Villa offered Grealish on loan + £4m/£5m for Dele Alli, with Allo remaining at MK Dons. Attractive offers with both at MK Dons for a promotion push. Reports said NUFC offer was of around £5m, but it's gone quiet.

Alright mysti.
Gil is looking good. Hopefully he can have a good rest of season.
Cracking goal on sunday.
Got Scott Sinclair on loan for rest of season.
Hope he ignite his own career and make a good contribution to the team.
Delph signing a new contract is a huge bonus.
Despite our lack of goals I'm confident we will stay up.
Hope the win on sunday can give us confidence in the league.
Have a funny feeling we will get a result sunday at the Emirates.
Palace, I'm sure will be fine.

Indeed, though I have sympathy for Hull at the moment with their mass injury list and Villa for being stuck in ownership limbo.

but no sympathy for newcastle. strange, they've had one of the bigger injury problems, behind Arsenal this season & are in limbo with Ashley? so your selective about who 'deserves' to go down, you don't judge it on footballing reasons, like everyone else but, because you simply just don't like a particular club or its fans in how they treated a previous manager.

I thought this Poopie had stopped? Their list is nowhere near as bad as Hull's currently, and their size far outranks them, as well as Lerner being far more earnest in his desire to sell Villa than Ashley. Although at least Villa fans gave Lerner a chance from the get go...
Not that discussing finances, managers, chairmen, squads is footballing reasons. Just put me on the ignore list because your responses are embarrassing

I'd expect some reaction from the boys today. Much has been made of this 'half season syndrome', hope they can prove those doubters wrong. Saying that, I'm still not happy with the side, not until De Jong, Cisse, Abeid & Aarons are in the mix.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Hampo, that's not the point. The point or reaction is too the idiots claiming Newcastle were finished this season, basically relegated with Carver & had nothing to play for. Regardless of opposition, this is a statement result from the club, that they won't be lying down easily under Carver. I also don't hear the Olly relegation party drone anymore. I'm just pleased for Newcastle & Carver, well done.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Not sure why you react to such nonsense. It's a good, solid win against woeful opposition, that's it. Yes, the pressure was on & we produced the goods under Carver, hopefully we can kick on now. Knew we were safe & we have strong players returning, like De Jong & Cisse.
Hull look dead in the water, ready to be swallowed up. Throw in LEICESTER makes two down & there is still a ? over who joins them, however, it won't be us.
