We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

Ravel could have had the world at his feet, a hugely talented footballer yet for all his skills he's clearly from the wrong side of the tracks and unable to forever escape his gang roots.

Will end up being another Joey Barton, passed from club to club until he finds a home of sorts.

What just happened is unbelievable. Obertan embarrassing, Perez no composure & that defending is abysmal. Two points thrown down the toilet. Shocking.

Pathetic & embarrassing on all levels those last five minutes. Super Carver should be ripping into them right now, I expect a reaction at Palace on Wednesday to make up for that dire end to that game.

We'll get battered today. Half fit side and we bend over for United.
Ravel *sigh* I love him as a player, but the bloke is a Muppet. Lazio last chance saloon - can't go back to Manchester and see his mates, will probably go to training cos otherwise he's got nothing to do. And they've got more mental fans and had more mental players than Rav.

Big club decisions?
Valencia lucky not to get a card for the dive, maybe it's crap refereeing all around....

He doesn't appeal, I don't think he dives, think he just gets ready to get fouled then doesn't. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt considering he never looked at the ref and hasn't done it before

It probably looked worse in slow motion but in the last replay the ref wasn't far away and had a great view.

Outplayed them so badly, but went too deep. Fellaini getting away with his pushes as Jenks heads it away but United get away with these. Should have wrapped it up too.

United spent 150mil in the summer and Van Gaal has turned them into a long ball team who's key player in the man Moyes was mocked for buying

West ham looked the better team- but i just had this feeling they would grind he draw out- They are a much better team this season although they are still playing some awful looking stuff.
3 score draws today and the games were pretty bad .

Pearson sacked.
Can't argue with the job he did, but like most of Leicesters team, hes in that cut of being good in the Championship but short of PL quality

Would have been better off keeping him, not great selection of managers to pick from to keep them up, January already over, Pearson would at least be a good shout at bringing them back up again. The team has already overachieved in my opinion and not really sure there is a manager who can get anything more out of them.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Eh, momentum for one thing is a tricky thing. Plenty of sides have sputtered back in the lower division. And theres quite a few managers who took sides up to the PL, failed to make the grade and never really hit the previous heights again.
Lets not forgot, Pearson underachieved for years with Leicester, with one of the strongest sides in the division at his disposal. He was within a hairs width of being sacked 2 years ago. Leicester have peaked under him, time for someone to try and advance them (even if relegation seems likely)

As for who's available, be surprised if Howe left Bournemouth. Hes already tried once, and he ended up running home pretty quickly. Leicester would appear too much of a sideways step for McClaren. Sherwood seems destined for QPR.

Laudrup isnt up for a fight.
Disappointing, nowadays if you get a team promoted you must be closer to getting sacked than if you had lost in the playoff final. Leicester were a joke before he came in, always the team that should be going up but spending money to sit midtable. He got them up in one of their dryer spending seasons.
Neil Lennon favourite. Would probably be welcomed, bit early to leave Bolton but thats life really. I'd try for Karl Robinson and then maybe go for Glenn Hoddle too.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Radamel Falcao, post left ACL injury, rarely ever uses the former weapon off his.
If anyone cares to look on Y*****e(unsure if videos are permitted) look back at his time with Atletico. His left foot(bare in mind he's a right footed striker)could do things like Messi. The goals in the Europa League final vs Bilbao and Super Cup vs Chelsea. Post injury he just doesn't shoot with his left foot. Coupled with the seemingly no stability in his left knee(I'd done an ACL and to cut a long story short my rugby dreams died when I was 16).
I don't think LvG will keep Falcao and I wouldn't be surprised if Falcao needs further surgery.

Howe's family stayed down south, and he didn't like spending so much time away from his wife and kids etc.
Hardly a crime but it's a red flag for anybody looking to appoint him up north.

Yeah, I always feel like we might be able to get him here (wouldnt be the first manager we've had from there) but it would take a huge and stable opportunity for him to go North
