We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

I think LVG is getting an easier ride than Moyes is due to fact that Moyes followed Fergie and everyone was shocked at how United had fallen. This year there are lower expectations. This year, no one was seriously expecting United to win the title, when Moyes took over that wasn't the case.
I'd stick with LVG, he's obviously a top manager.

i dont like his system- and i dont think any body does. And he does seem to be losing the plot a bit.
On the plus side . Man U are fighting and grinding for points.. That is a big positive.

Don't think ITV or Discovery are going to have bother Sky or BT, they were competing against eachother that's it.

Well moyes was Poopie and did everything wrong from the moment he set foot in the door.
Lvg hasn't been brilliant but things aren't as bad as moyes.
Moyes season was probably the worst managerial job ever jn the history of the professional game.

Funny how the live games and highlights will be almost exactly what we have now just with the BBC, Sky and BT Sport paying far more. If they put their heads together they could have got it much cheaper. It was the threat of new broadcasters that bumped up the price. New broadcasters that failed to surface.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Don't think ITV or Discovery are going to have bother Sky or BT, they were competing against eachother that's it.
On to QPR... Tony Fernandes says on Twitter that he has got his 'dream manager' and Michael Laudrup becomes the bookies favourite. Laudrup, a manager who hasn't been at any of his clubs outside of Brondby for more than 18 months, looks a bit like 'fools gold' to me.

You're looking for a conspiracy where there isn't one, at no point would Sky be bothered by Discovery. The price hiked up because sky needed to ensure BT didn't get more of a foothold.

5,136,000,000 ....for anyone wondering....that's the number paid for the TV rights over 3 years from 16/17 season.
The most frightening aspect of it all....the following statement:
''Premier League plans to invest £56m in grassroots projects, including 50 artificial pitches''

19. Liverpool - 374
20. City - 339
Unbelievable to see Utd playing over 1000 more than their rivals
As most believe, this suggests the balance of United's play isn't right. However, important not to go from one extreme to the other and try to eradicate the long ball from their game. As Paisley regularly told his Liverpool team and as Hansen even more regularly told us on MOTD, ''It's not about the long ball or the short ball, it's about the right ball.'' So as to prove that point, no surprise to see City bottom of the above list - as personified by Silva, a team with too much icing and not enough cake.

Glad that Allen isn't starting and Can is still in the back three as well as Ibe earning a start. Balotelli on the bench, was hoping we'd seen the last of him, guessing that Rodgers is going to give him a chance with Sturridge to see if he can actually be of any worth.

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes says he has got his "dream manager" to replace Harry Redknapp, who resigned last week.
The 50-year-old businessman said no announcement was imminent and it would "take a while" to complete the deal.
Rumored to be Michael Laudrup if believe Muppet

Tottenham just seem to bring the best out of Liverpool.
Great hold-up play by Sturridge and Markovic is starting to show why the money was spent.

Why is Sakho incapable of placing his feet in a position which he doesn't fall or look like falling over.

Do fear for Villa. Got a feeling in my waters & big club is going down this year.

Trying to stay positive LiamB.
But it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we do finally fail to beat the drop.
Is worrying.
