We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
I know it's not premier league related, but I was just reading that both of Scunthorpes goalkeepers suffered broken arms in today's game.

Mane lucky not to be sent off a minute or two ago, then fouls Adrian who dives forward and handles outside the box. We've been resting players (bringing off both Sakho and Valencia) and now we have to have Jussi against WBA. Gutted

Held on with basically 9 men. Robbed at the weekend but done really well to hold this, massive draw and should breed confidence

YES!
Felt like it was going to be one of those days but in the end perseverance payed off. Missed Costa big time today, Remy just wasn't getting himself into the dangerous positions to finish the chances off.
Massive miss by Lukaku a turning point. How did he miss that?! Great save mind.
One step closer to the title

1-1 between Super Carver & that other bloke. Disappointing couple of games, should of had six points vs Stoke & this shoddy outfit we played tonight, just lacking the ruthlessness under Super Carver at the minute. Fair play to Bolasie changed the game.

Good enough draw I suppose.
I will take that. 27 pts . Edging towards safety.
Pulis doing what he does.. Another win. Sado assit and a goal.

utd slightly better second half but awful at the back and in possession. Herrera needs to start now, he bring such a calming influence to the midfield, can keep the ball and also keep the tempo high.
The days of Falcao and RVP starting have to be over now. Wilson and Rooney up top, or mata in behind rooney. Both can't play together and neither are playing well enough to justify playing. Both can be out the door in the summer. Big three points however, keeps us ahead of the chasing pack just about. Credit to Burnley, they'll pick up a few points on their tough run i'm sure, especially if Ings continues his scoring form. Was outstanding tonight.

For a while Aston Villa had a young squad that looked like it might be decent after a couple of years, but it just never happened. Not really sure who would want that job at this point, so little left to get excited about.

Did you watch the game? You should be happy enough with an away draw, you just wanted to beat super Al.. I hope your fans showed him some respect.

Be interested to see if the FA "Campaign" continues vs Chelsea after Ivanovic nutted McCarthy.
Weirdly some people on twotter are suggesting he bit McCarthy (which i highly doubt) The Suarez bug is spreading

he pushed him away with his face
to be fair there didn't look like much in it, but yes Ivanovic is lucky. Any movement from the head in that sort of situations and you give the ref the option. Don't think he bites him though (doesn't look remotely like it, and you'd think McCarthy would have been a bit more vocal with his complaints). Odd that Martinez is suggesting Barry's red was very harsh though, Willian nutmegs him and he basically hacks him down as he goes past, clear yellow surely?
Having said that, Barry should probably have seen red in the first half after cynically pulling Hazard back when already on a yellow. Chelsea should also have had a penalty when Remy was man-handled/wrestled in the area (first half also), so obviously having the ref on their side was still not enough for Everton

It'll be a brave man to come in and take over, someone who wants to test themselves.
Scott Marshall & Andy Marshall in charge for Leicester game.
I have a horrible feeling it will be another McLeish type guy taking over.

I am not sure who you can get in at this stage in the season- I think you should have stuck, or obviously identified the issues pre jan transfer and got someone in then.

Yeah, just kidding, saw the game & I'd say a draw was about right. You started well, but then we controlled the game & deservedly took the lead. You were no threat really & we should of scored a second & killed the game, but we didn't, just like vs Stoke. Bolasie came on & you played well towards the end & Krul made a cracking save from Hangeland. Draw about right, both sides should be safe now.

Laudrup, wouldn't mind
Klinsmann, as above
Arry, no thanks.

Used to be promising in Fergie's last couple of years. Last couple of years he's stagnated and is now playing with zero confidence this year. He's a gone unfortunately

He's one I'd quite like to take at the end of the season. Definitely good enough to be at a top 8 club and probably needs confidence restored.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Yeah, Saido & Ideye should cause the Hammers all sorts of problems, love it if we beat them & progress. Fancy Pulis taking us to Wembley, he'll set us up brilliantly in these cup games, like he did with Stoke.

Ideye is having a funny 5 minutes, as Macheda did years ago for United. He's not a £10m striker and the sooner we can jettison him the better. Same for Big Vic. Berahino I also want gone due to his attitude and market value.

Very odd. The minute West Brom try to shift him he starts scoring. I'd imagine you'll have us on Saturday, especially with rubber hands in goal

Just some PL news today, Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard has signed a new five-and-a-half year deal with Premier League leaders Chelsea. Also, the F.A could investigate the incident at Selhurst Park last night - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31433192

Forgot about that, could of blinded my Colo. Terrible club are Palace, hopefully the F.A can intervene & give out a hefty financial punishment.
