I'm thinking that the Winter/Spring session will close before the Matchplay and it's just a a question of when. I'm thinking Hilton Head and then open to either China, New Orleans, or skip. The Spring/Summer session will start with the Players.

The Matchplay will be a non counting event due to it being a bit funky.

Yes, LP. It sort of slipped by this week. Apologies for not making the announcement earlier.

I will run an event for the Matchplay. It will be pick the 16 group winners and who you think will win overall.

Scoring will be something like 5 points for a group stage win by your pick. 10 points for group win.

The group winners you have will pick up 10 points for each round win including the final. You'll get an extra 20 points if your overall pick wins.

Actually the reason I enquired is that I'm rather busy next week and might not have time to post. I'm in Belek, Turkey playing the Faldo, National, Montgomery and Carya courses and lazing beside the pool of the 5* Cornelia Diamond Hotel watching the Russian and Ukranian beauties totter around in their minuscule bikini's, full make-up and stiletto heels!

Okay, this week sees the European Tour in Austria for the Lyoness Open. Just the two players in the top 100 playing and 11 more between 101-200. The PGA Tour is in Memphis for the St Jude Classic. 22 players from the top 100 and another 25 from 101-200.

Which one do you guys prefer or should we just skip ahead to Chambers Bay and the US Open?

Whatever's easiest for you Grumps - if in doubt, take a break.
Otherwise I'll go for Beale Street.

My vote isn't worth much on current firm, but I'll be happy with the next one being the US Open

Are you trapped between patterns again Grumps? Only answer is to take one of those indefinite breaks, you know, the ones that end with a definite event like the US Open

With the delayed finish of the Open, with knock on effect to OWGR publication, added to the fact I'm playing golf all day tomorrow at Celebration Golf Club there will be no Fantasy League event this week.

European Tour Matchplay - Pick 32 first round winners and watch them progress. Bonus points for picking overall winner

PGA Tour Quicken Loans - Regular event, usual rules

The draw for the matchplay isn't being made until tomorrow afternoon UK time.

From what I hear the Quicken Loans isn't a terribly strong field .. but then neither is the Paul Lawrie extravaganza .. my vote would be for the matchplay as something a little different but as usual I'll defer to Grump's judgement. I'll be in whatever

I'm not fussed. The matchplay has 6 players from inside the top 100 in the OWGR. Quicken Loans has a smaller field and only 21 from within the top 100. It is the Women's British Open this week so #boobsnotmoobs is a possibility. Another week off would also be fine with me.

I'd prefer one of the two tournaments to another week off...having only recently joined im enjoying cutting my teeth into this fantasy malarky so always up for some fantasy picking!

As for which one...matchplay would be interesting and different.

If you do decide to host an event this week I would vote for the Women's Open.
