OWEN FARRALL taken off in the first half today.
Is it just precautianery? He did not look in any pain when he was taken off.
Or is this another injury for the England team ahead of the 6ns?

He wasnt going to/ shouldnt be starting anyway, but he was all but fixed for the bench. Choice of back up no.10 will be very interesting if he is out for a few weeks

Given SL's penchant for full backs it will probably Alex Goode.

I really hope not.
I would like to see Myler given a chance to see what he can do. Rather than play( any player) out of his natural position.

I'd be happier with Alex Goode coming on at 10 instead of 15 tbh - but cips is still there and has played recently for England, and Myler is no mug

Apparently Farrell left on crutches.
According to The Guardian
Some might disagree with the first sentence. I'm kind of hoping this gives Cipriani a spot on the bench - but not wishing any ill for Farrell.
According to The Guardian
Farrell’s injury appears to be of most concern. The fly-half twisted his left knee when tackled and left the field in the 19th minute. He left the stadium on crutches after the game, with his knee in a brace, and claimed to have no idea of how bad it was.

Farrell has played some very good games for England, and was the FH during all the (many) good bits last 6N. It is worth remembering that before building up too much hate.

Absolutely agree - and I think a lot of the criticism is not accurate. However, I do feel that on current form, Ford and Cipriani should be ahead of him, even if Farrell is more solid in defence and a better kicker than either.

Given his penchant for playing Farrell when he's injured I imagine he'll still be picked.

Re: OWEN FARRALL taken off in the first half today.
at least our selection issues become simpler...eastmond looks out. farrell looks out. 36 is just not up to it. burrell may have played himself out of contention. and joseph has to have won the starting berth at 13.
ford at 10
barritt at 12
joseph at 13
brown at 15
goode on bench to cover 10 and 15 (inward groan and fingers crossed no-one crocks themself in the first 20 minutes like vs france)
that is a backline i would be really happy to see

I wouldn't say he's a big loss to be honest. He's fallen behind Ford. Also Cipriani and Myler have been playing well.
He's part of what is wrong at Saracens. Saracens have serious issues that they need to sort out - both on and off the pitch. The problem is that nothing is being done about it.

At least Sarries have Charlie.

True but unfortunately Charlie played poorly vs Clermont - could have been instructions from the coaches I don't know.

Re: OWEN FARRALL taken off in the first half today.
My automatic thought was that Farrell had half an eye on the 6N. What looked originally like a very serious injury didnt look that bad when he was walking off the pitch.
On current form, surely Ford will start against Wales.
