Random factor, like a tractor...
First topic message reminder :
Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.
I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'
* - an award I made up just now.

After every shower, I dry myself in the same body part sequence. It never varies.

To be fair you have so much to cover you could otherwise miss a bit.

English is weird. You change one letter and the pronunciation changes:
Going.
Doing.
Boing!

There once was a young girl from Slough
Who fell for a man through and through,
But the man was a rogue,
Will a silvery tongue,
She said it was fun as things go though.

Picture a man in a green superhero suit giving road safety advice to children in the 70's
Cut to the end of the ad where he says
"..because i wont be there when you cross the road"
what kind of superhero is not omnipresent and not able to save kids from imminent death/and injury!!....used to really urine me off as a kid!!

He's most likely in jail/goal....or in a safe house right now.
Better than the owl dressed as a schoolteacher (wearing a teacher's felt black hat and black cape) we had in the 70s saying: "So you think your're a good driver....(long guilty conscience pause).....tick, tick, tick, tick.....try this!"
Then followed a really cryptic question. "What does this sign mean?" Black curvy arrow with a "40km" under it.
Really freaked me out - I still see owls dressed as schoolteachers with felt black hat when I'm driving on lonely country roads but hardly any - halfway under the Sydney Harbour Tunnel!

Re: Random factor, like a tractor...
Dave Prowse came to our school as the green cross code man as well. Considered it a betrayal of good faith that he wouldn't talk about Star Wars!
Also was devastated in Return of the Jedi when they peeled him it wasn't Prowse under the mask. 3 people to play one Dark Lord, shocking.

****Work experience****
have you ever found that.....
At work in order to try to get x
you have to ask for 2x
to be given at least x/2
this does not mean you will get x
and asking for more than 2x
inevitably leads to.....
what do you need 'x' for anyway?
thus repeating the cycle

Nah....not really just expressing my frustrations at negotiations with senior management at work.
Moving to new building next year and even arranging a meeting time for discussions with some of these people is like trying to get blood out of a stone.

When I was a kid I was told that because bull's front legs are shorter than their rear legs they find it easier to run uphill and therefore in order to evade a bull in a field you should run downhill.....

There once was a scrum half from Wales
Who started to miss lots of games
His coach told him "Mike,
you get on your bike,
Next to Peel your talent just pales"
