First topic message reminder :

Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.

I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'

Possums are the only other creature with hollow fur:) I drive over possums on a regular basis here in NZ....it's a kind of sport:) They kill Kiwi's and there's about 30,000,000 of them.

WelshJohn, nice work. In NZ the only "good" possum is ... similar to the only "good" rabbit.

Ironically there are parts of Aus where they're endangered, so if they want a few back ...

Apparently there's twice as many possums in NZ as sheep nowadays Whistle

7 possums per person in NZ....wow. That experiment to harvest the fur is almost as bad as the cane toad/rabbit one here.

So many get squashed around here too - especially if they try to cross the road near where I am. Absolute carnage on some days (often 3 or 4 in close proximity) yet I hear them most nights in the trees near me. They sound like they've got breathing problems....a wheezy, bubbling chesty sound. Seems to get worse year by year.

Apparently koalas are on the decline - I heard there are only 110,000 left. It would be a shame if they became extinct.
