Random factor, like a tractor...
First topic message reminder :
Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.
I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'
* - an award I made up just now.

And I said, I don't care if they lay me off either, because I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then I'm quitting, I'm going to quit. And I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married...

I was shooting clay pigeons in torrential rain on Wednesday night. Then I had a medium rare sirloin steak and home cooked chips washed down with Brains SA. I was RAF yesterday.

Now if I was to go up to Scotland on a grouse shoot and shout 'pull,' would the grouse fly up? Is that their 'rosebud?'

Has anyone tried calling them and doing that thing you do with your hand when you want a cat to come to you? They'd be sitting, er, grouse then.

Re: Random factor, like a tractor...
Now that's a fact.
It includes the blackbird, who is so wonderful that he sings about himself. He really isn't a bragart, he just loves to sing; but there is something insane about drawing attention to yourself when you're prey!

Good point well made.
I come home from work somedays and tell Mrs Holybloke how one of my mates has really hurt themselves, I'm in fits of laughter at it and she always says how that's "not funny".
I knocked a right lump of skin off my left index finger two weeks ago whilst weilding a hammer like a Muppet-stick and she had to reach for the Tena-Lady pack.
Somethings not right there. mad as a bottle of bees.

I didn't write "Muppet-stick" by-the-way and if I was going to use a puppet type analogy it would have been "Fraggle-stick".

Mines the same PJ. She trips, falls over, hurts herself - Im in like a Guardian Angel - comforting her - easing the pain. She's the same - Nurse Nightingale with everyone on the Planet. Except me.
I fall, trip down the stairs in a hape, both legs broken, head twisted around - she breaks her shoyte laughing and has to leave the room.
Bees aren't in it. They are evil. FACT.
I make an extra-effort to laugh at her misfortune now. Feels good. Gotta love er though.

Seeing as the early bird got the worm, by inference, worms aren't a good thing.

kiwi
your correct, worms are not good,i would advise any blackbird,(the feathered type) to stick to berries or seed left out by kindly neighbours,i've often seen crows sample and then spit out worms, worms are to be used for fishing, nothing else.

"There are known knows, there are knowed unknowns and there are unknown knows, but the unknowed unknowns will fook you up every time."
Paraphrased from a CIA spook that took a press conference during the second Gulf War, I still haven't got a barsteward clue what he was trying to express.
I know this much though - that's bilging excrement for "Hi, I've no idea, thanks for coming and goodbye."

FACT it is Gibbo, evil and no doubt about it. Mrs H had a "mild bout of illness" a few years ago and I can honestly say that I actually experienced a mild form of sympathy for cancer.
By Christ did she give it a lashing and as God is my witness I've stifled every cough and cold I've had since for fear of the same treatment.
The ducking stool is gone for better or worse, as the witches are still about. God forbid anyone feeling ill in our house, as there's little comfort to be found.
Like you and yours I rejoice in her beauty, grace and guile, but most of all I'm shoite scared of her vengance and love her more for that as each day passes by.
To Mrs H and ALL her sisters, you gotta love 'em !
