Random factor, like a tractor...
First topic message reminder :
Hello. Following its roaring success on the old 606 (winner of six Luckies*) I thought I'd provide a space on 606v2 for you to post any irrelevant little things you fancy sharing.
I'll start: I've always had trouble with the line 'Love grows where my Rosemary goes.' If they'd chosen another name like Anne or Susan there'd be no problem, but rosemary's a herb so it could be 'Love goes where my rosemary grows.'
* - an award I made up just now.

Decent band, the Mel Dole Four. Sort of Merseybeat doo-wop reggae.

Wind lashed palm trees, spiders and snakes. A black tom cat, helicopters, a four & twenty pie and home made fries on a Wednesday night.

"...accidents will happen... sorry 'bout that mate...! You OK?
I don't know if you've ever heard of Mark "Spud" Carroll? A huge league player reknowned for violence on the field. He took over from the gym my mate used to own and really used to push us to the limits.
One time I was just about a spent force doing some punishing drill and he walked alongside me and told me to 'lift my game!'...then kicked me in the ribs when I was doing a press-up.
I let out a "FARUK OFF!" although I swear it wasn't directed at him... more for myself as a G-up. No one believed me, ha ha. You should have seen the look on his face...his eyes turned into two small black dots, then he smiled and called me something funny & abusive - but I think I gained some respect!.
Everyone who witnessed (or heard) this incident still say to me: You're lucky to still be alive...he looked like he was going to kill you!

Also did some sparring with him... 1 minute 45 seconds at a time.
He kept saying.. "C'mon... get stuck into it!...,etc"
I managed to get my left cross through just under his guard...and hit a sweet spot near his solar plexis. He sure felt it and his eyes went to black dots again. (this was a different day to the episode above)
Just then the music stopped - change stations. He said "You got me there mate...good work!"

Re: Random factor, like a tractor...
Yes, I always try to downplay it however good it felt.
I stopped going there not long after... he was getting too much. A few 'celebrities' used to show up and I didn't like the group. He still does work for Russell Crowe who lives nearby...the old South Sydney connection. Spud played for them before going to Manly. Then NSW, Kangaroos.
I went back to my old mate who had a new gig at the Police Boys. (anyone can go...lots of street kids looking for a bit direction and discipline go there) It's a much better atmosphere and an older style gym. I stopped going there back in January but really need to get back into it again.

Not watching it myself but know they are heading into Italy today so could be in either country....
Lived in Melb for a while, always bemoaned the lack of a super 15 side and when I head home what do they go and do.... bastewards.
Mind you, it meant I have a keen interest in Aussie Rules now (kinda have to if ur a Melbournian)

Re: Random factor, like a tractor...
You probably enjoyed that with the Gaelic football similarity?
They really love their footy as you know. I like the big games but can't follow every game since I'm up to my neck with the other rugby codes which clash with the AFL... but I flick over for score updates quite a lot.
It's exhausting following sports here...

They know how to play the game
Side by side we stand together
To uphold the Magpie Name
Its looking good for us but Geelong are always tough to beat. Cant see past those two, the others lack the consistency I feel.
Hmm, any AFL section on this one wonders??

What do people think of the New Holland CR9090 combine harvester.
Is it any good or should I get something else?

Not a bad choice, but I prefer the John Deere 9600 with in-built hill-leveling, auto-stabilising(via dual-drive wheels) and air-conditioning. Equiped with a Rahco hillside conversion-kit - obviously, it is simply the best choice for those tricky hill-farms.

Orangutan's are sceptical of changes in their cages, and the zoo keeper is very fond of rum.
