Do people like the Celtic Cup? I've found it to be a rather underwhelming tournament, undermined by the fact it hasn't found a place in the calendar where teams can go full-strength.

Also, not sure hosting the final games in one country is the way to go; apparently the attendance for Northern Ireland versus Wales in Dublin was, ahem, very disappointing indeed.

Notch,

I give it time to grow over the next few years and try help rivalries grow. The idea of all the games being in one stadium seemed a bit stupid though.

It is a bit underwhelming. Don't think the tournament will last. Not really that interested in it, tbh, just its probably the only chance the Repub. have of ever winning anything.

What a fantastic 7s final. Aus coasting just after h/t and SA come back with a try and then three tries in the last 2 and a half minutes. Gutting for Aus, they scored some cracking tries.

Well done NZ on winning the whole shebang (again), and SA, who pipped England for 2nd place. That was a poor last two tournaments from England back in the UK.

As soon as next sesson's 7s schedule is announced I'm booking my annual trip to Dubai. PARTY TIME!!!

Here's a talking point. Rugby union is as close to rugby league as it is to rugby sevens. What do people think?

Evening,
Just home after a rugbyless weekend, apart from seeing the winning penalty landed by MHRC;David against Goliath final in perspective, but don't sell the bear skin before you've killed the beast as they say here Very Happy,Galthié and Béchu have worked wonders, and if they can remain disciplined, the Héraultais could create an enormous surprise;in fact, the would be the first club to finish 6th to become champions(something illogical there,eh Portnoy?)

The ASM defeat was predictable-end of a cycle, and the loss of Schmidt has really hurt, hopefully Azéma will be able to create with the new arrivals.

Cari, if you want the HCup final video, ask Kia Wink

Off to catch up on some sleep, and eat a bowl of gruel, fed up of all this gastro stuff :run2:

I see they,ve added Asbo's egg , and Penfro's
🍅plus Cari's

Just down the road from it. A place called roxford lodge. Easily nicest hotel i've used. Reasonable price, lovely irish breakfast, a sauna and jacuzzi in our room, free use of internet with my laptop and they had a printer in the room i could hook up to lap top and use free of charge. They had a selection of fifteen dvds you could watch free of charge. They thought of absoluely everything.

One of my flatmate's aunts lived next door to that place in No. 48. She used to look after us really well. I lived in No 76. The windows used to rattle when a bus went by!

I thought he played well Stag, best I've seen him play for a while. Was struggling a bit to keep up with the pace of the game in the last 15mins I thought but at his age that's understandable!

Dunno how I double posted. Stag, the core skills in 7s are the same as in the full version of the game. Some of the penalty decisions are different but there's certainly no turf randy in 7s Very Happy

Hayes did really well against the Ospreys as well.

Also, on the 7s thing, both the full game and 7s have a contest for the ball and that is the centre point of Union.

Irish independent were giving player ratings. Can't remember what he got but it said something like "was second best in the scrums and most other areas of the game. At his age he hasn't the legs for a full game" or something like that.

Lets guess - the Indo I bet. Franno didn't understand why Munster got a penalty try? Was it him?
.

If Hayes was poor, what does that say about the rest of the props and how bad they are. He was the only one that played 80 mins.

Some Kumquat has knocked the wing mirror off my car. I had right of way too. The Kumquat drove off too, but luckily I was able to turn round and catch them. I didn't speak to them though, I just took their licence plate number and reported it to the police. I really did want to go after them. Thank Flip I caught the car though, electric mirrors aren't cheap.

Interesting the alleged Wales v Ospreys strained relations isn't it. Gatland mentioned it on Scrum V for those that don't know. Roger Blyth from the O's was unaware of problems (communication difficulties).

A Risca, "communication difficulties" are rife all throughout Welsh rugby, same old story. A bit annoyed I missed Scrum V though, completely forgot it was on.

And well done on getting the number plate! I don't understand people who drive off when they know they've done damage to another persons car.
