World Cup 2015
First topic message reminder :
Warm Up game between Ind and Aus ongoing...
it's an official ODI...though after so much cricket why do these sides need a "warm-up"
India's bowling in melt-down and the two most dangerous guys in Aus side Warner and Maxwell get 100s
Looks like Ind will be chasing 375

Hussain asking the question we all want answered - why do these young talents get worse after being with England for a while.

Good to see we are unchanged, at least. I do not believe that the replacements would add an awful lot.
Duty - that may be the case but there does come a time when the selectors have to say to one or two individuals, ''that was unacceptable''. Many would say that time has already come.

And I should note, this isn't just the England side, the whole performance programme in general. Look how many young bowlers have been broken in Loughborough.

Strauss calling for 'a wild card' to play.
Although I don't believe that term does him justice, I was always keen for Roy be involved in this WC.

Just strikes me that I guess anyone in the crowd who isn't English will be cheering on Scotland. Hmmm.

Ok - just for fun for all of us here. Score after 10 overs?
50/1 is my guess.

53/1.
Both teams batting first on this ground in the two World Cup matches thus far have made 300+.
No pressure, England!

58/0 off 10. Westy wins it and proves he's a Villain!
Good start from England. Not much threat so far from Scotland.

Bell just hit it.. It isn't a test match v South Africa.
We will manage the 50 overs, but we should be looking to sort out our NRR

Scotland too wayward and innocuous to impose any pressure on a confidence-hit England.
Moeen properly giving it some.
350 on at this rate!

He does really need to start teeing off now, he's been in for near enough 70 balls and yet to get near 50. Severely hampering our chance of getting well above 300

Re: World Cup 2015
168/0 off 29. Bell just reached 50 and Moeen his century.
Scotland have seemed very ordinary but England have sucked the life out of them. A lot of whinging by the Sky commentators about our run rate not being high enough but we could still be on for a very big score. Another 6 overs without loss could take us to 200 off 35. From there we could double that score in the last 15 if Morgan and Buttler come to the party ....

Mo seemed to get bogged down in the 90s, should hopefully start firing now. Bell really needs to get a shift on though, just puts more pressure on the other batsman

I agree with Bumble as well.
Scotland are there for the taking, but England are merely content to find the gaps and tap the singles and twos, with the odd boundary.
Good news for England - Ian Bell gone.
We're not sending Ballance out, are we?

That (Finn) half-century was a hell of a knock!
Took nearly five hours for 56.

Currently 175/1 off 31. I think we need to judge this innings at the end of 50 overs. I'll say no more until then.
