No 1 is not a surprise to me, and just imagine what it would have been if Lancaster had had the guts to have the roof closed.GunsGerms wrote:Which do you think it is?

Emptiest vessels and all that jazz...
Only kidding
Not sure that noise necessarily equates to passion though. I don't just want noise, I want quality noise.

If I read you correctly Madge, I've already answered it, the roof was open, if Lancaster had some bottle and had it closed it would more than likely been over a 100.majesticimperialman wrote:wayne

Wonder how many tries you're awarded for getting over 100db
Must be at least 7 per game the way the blasted roof is being banged on about

wayne, I think England showed Wales all they needed to know about 'guts' and 'bottle' on the pitch
Lest we forget, it was a rugby game, not a decibel contest. You can go in there with the roof closed to shout along to Bonnie Tyler in the close season.

I bet it went quieter in the second half ?
A Friday night fixture may also be a factor & of course England were playing the 'worlds best at getting turnovers'

It's the points scored that counts, not how much noise some clueless fans can make.

Cyril, just go and have a look how many times I commented on the 22 pages of the match thread to see how much it bothered me, and the same applies to the 2 sheep that followed you, I'm a true Rugby fan not a once in a blue fan, as among others though Woodward, Guscott and Inverdale all said it is the BEST RUGBY STADIUM in the world, not a cabbage patch.

Look mate, you were the one who started the talk of 'guts' and 'bottle' so were obviously trying to get a little rise. I just bit. No probs though
The Millennium Stadium is a fine venue, no argument about that.
I bet you're delighted you agree with SCW, Guscott and Inverdale

Re: Loudest 6 nations stadiums
The Welsh union could not afford all the litigation that would come their way with the sound at 100dB for 2 hours, way above the legal limit at which you are required to wear ear protection if you are working in the area.
Having said that, a disproportionate number of Welsh backs do wear ear protection, 1/2p, JD2, Biggar.
Perhaps the others are just deaf already.
Gatland is certainly deaf to the fans requirements for a more open style of rugby.

I only mentioned them 3 as they said it just over a week ago, many others have said the same thing, so it is not very original.Cyril wrote:wayne wrote:Cyril wrote:wayne, I think England showed Wales all they needed to know about 'guts' and 'bottle' on the pitch

Re: Loudest 6 nations stadiums
The MS is a fantastic venue; however, a cabbage patch was a compliment to the old pitch. Seems to be better now that they have copied the old farts' idea of laying a composite pitch.

I'd wager that SCW, Guscott and Inverdale have never roughed it in the lower tier though.

Re: Loudest 6 nations stadiums
Surprise, surprise the trolls are out again. Yet another pointless measure (decibels, ffs!) and the 606v2 kn*bends only want to criticise. Some of you could start an argument in an empty room. Cyril, back to your former best I see!

Griff,
England of course, the only country in the 6N where you cannot see the paint on their shirts.

What lower tier is?
Except when you are behind the posts and your side scores a try right under them; best place in the stadium then.

In actual fact when Rhys Webb scored his try against England it went above 100db, yet this was beaten at the Aviva at the final whistle, these were the only times in 6 matches this 6N it has gone above that figure.

Dear God, what a pointless article.
If we're going to compare wangs, could we at least do it on the 606 Lovemaking Forum? Decibel levels have even less to do with rugby than the Torygraph's ridiculous beatification of the singing child mascot.
God I need a drink.

Is there a similar report on last years competition? With all the talk at the time about not hearing calls, it would be interesting to know the level at Twickenham for England v Ireland.
