Two Brits involved in world title fights tonight then;

Martin Murray vs GGG on C5, Hughie Fury on the undercard as well. Paul Smith vs Abraham on Sky with David Price and Josh Warrington on the undercard as well.

Who's everyone watching?

Thing with Golovkin is his power looks effortless. 

Never seems to break sweat. 

Watched an interview with Ricky Hatton earlier.

Massive respect to Murray, he's giving it everything

If Murray has a hope, he needs to stand his ground and try push GGG back. Standing there and getting hit won't work.

Either hit and move or try and push him back. Easier said than done.

Andre Ward has tweeted that this fight is putting him to sleep, now he knows how fans feel watching him!

Murray is doing well to stick around and answer with a couple shots but he's outmatched in this one

Does anyone think that GGG's power will diminish significantly the longer it goes on?

Hahahahaha.... Yes, well with no training to do he's plenty of time on his hands to go for a nap.

It'll be interesting to see how GGG performs in the closing rounds (should it go that far).

Does look like his punches are losing a bit of steam, surprised GGG hasn't travelled to the body that much

Murray is super fit will be interesting to see if he can capitalise

Ward beats GGG with his eyes closed. GGG is a good fighter but I doubt he would be as effective at super middle!

If murray had any level of power this would be interesting. But with 12kos murray cant bruise ggg. This fight is a study of how much punishment the human body can take. I'm not enjoying watching this fight.

Don't get me wrong. Murray is receiving a beating here but there are clues that GGG is human. Seems to be obsessed with getting a KO here and he's abandoned what he was doing early rounds, looking to land hurtful shots in every single exchange. Murray's still there though and he's catching GGG at times.

GGG Froch would be a helluva fight!!

GGG is technically decent and power full with a chin, However!

He is not that great. Bhop would of beat this guy easily at middle as would Jones or Toney.

Have to question Harrison here, Murray is 8 points down on two cards, and ten points down on the other and stands as much chance of stopping GGG as Truss does of pulling Jessica Alba, surely a retirement needs to be thought about.

GGG is tiring, not surprisingly. But, not enough.

If Murray has anything left. He should try and push.. see if he can break GGG. Again, easier said than done.

Agreed hampo, Harrison is a trainer I respected. But he should have protected his man before the ref. That was a beatdown in the end.

Brave performance from murray but totally outgunned, showed some chinks in the GGG armour

Still doubt anyone at 160 can even come close to beating him, few fighters can take the punishment murray did, but deffo a couple of the fighters at 168 would worry him and maybe a couple beat him

Good stoppage, Pabon has done him a favor as Harrison didn't have the balls to pull him out.

A good win for GGG over in my opinion the de facto middleweight champion (forget Cotto) but it's time for him to move up, nothing left at 160lbs for him but in all honesty cannot see him beating Ward or Froch, far too easy to hit.

Yeah ref got that right. No need for Murray to take any more of that and he wouldn't pull himself out.

Interesting show from GGG. Got hit a fair bit and seemed to be looking for the KO from early on. Almost Naz like at times in the reliance on power punches. Who's next for him then?

I was amazed that Murray's ko % was so low, anyone that beats Golovkin is going to need to hit him hard enough to gain his respect and push him back, or have the footwork of Fred Astaire to avoid the punches.
As far as people saying BHop, Jones, Toney etc beats him easy - I don't think anyone beats GGG easy, they may beat him, but it wouldn't be easy. BHop hates anyone that makes him work, Jones doesn't have that great a chin and his speed masked his defensive frailties, and depends how many cheeseburgers Toney ate prior to the fight.
He's won 345 amateur fights with only 5 losses, 31-0 with 90% ko record & never been knocked down, so to say that anyone beats him easily is (I think) rather foolish!

No way he beats froch. The cobra would be able to push him back and discourage him way more than Murray.

I'm not a full on froch fan. Completely recognise his limitations, but I think froch beats him.

Jones' chin issues were up at 175lbs as a fairly old man, he embarrasses GGG like he does 99% of middleweights, far too fast and punches too hard. As for Hopkins, he wouldn't be made to work that hard when he's countering his man all night.

Bute had a similar record and amateur pedigree is somewhat misleading.

Actually, I wasn't having a go (bit presumptious of you!), as I like watching Ward fight from a technical point of view but his fights aren't exactly exciting are they?!
Would love to see GGG fight Ward.

GGG should take Froch on as a warm up for a superfight with Ward in the States

I agree that he would need to up his game if he fought the Slimster. Froch has looked tired as well in fights before though when a lot of punches have come his way. The size would be a factor but I think GGGs power would carry at SMW

Murray had some success when he held the centre of the ring. I was a little surprised he didn't simply us his greater size to keep it. I assume GGG's punches just got to him.

As with so many pressure fighters, the key seems to be to push them back.

The bigger boys will find this a lot easier than Murray.

Steffan, on tonight's performance, I'd recon Froch's chances.

If Murray actually had a dig, those forays in the middle of the ring would have had him going backwards.

Golovkins a victim of his own success. If he doesnt knock a guy out in three rounds its viewed as a dodgy performance. The fight I watched I saw him totally dominate and break down a big strong middleweight almost from start to finish. Froch isnt beating Golovkin on points and doesnt fancy taking him on. Ward is probably the only guy across three divisions that has enough about him to beat Golovkin as it is now.

Were those weights they announced before the fight "on the night" weights? I'm assuming so?!
if that's the case Murray was only 1/2kg heavier than GGG which seems contradictory considering Murray is seen as big at the weight & GGG isn't.

Sadly, is not looking to gamble in Vegas. He wants a sure bet in Chavez.

But I didn't see anything that would scare froch tonight.

But Joe calzaghe would be pooping his shorts though! :-p

An opponent not concerned by his power is a seriously stupid individual.

Personally I don't think Golovkin has the style that lends itself to moving through the weights and I think he knows it too, which is a shame really as no one else at Middleweight will trouble him and I can't see him rushing up to Super Middleweight to fight Ward or Froch.
