He is a master Fingers but for all round mastery you can't look past Leonard, being able to slug it out as well as floating like a butterfly is on another level.

It has to be good old Mackem, surely? The flowery prose about Rigo's lavish talents and style, the anger and sense of injustice when people stated that the first knockdown against Amagasa was legit. Classic signs!
To be fair, there has been a whispering campaign amongst some Rigondeaux fans for a while that, despite his less than granite chin, Rigondeaux is THE best-ever practicioner of hit and don't get hit / essential boxing. In terms of what he does, he is brilliant. But controversial / unpopular as it might be for some - doesn't Mayweather have basically as good a claim as anyone else in history of being the best practitioner of the sweet science ever in those pure terms? Criticise his personality, antics and selection of fights all you like, but don't pretend that you've seen too many guys who've got boxing down to a science like he has.
If you're looking at versatility though, a smooth boxer with that killer instinct and who could approach fights differently, then as Hammersmith says Leonard always comes to mind for me. Could mimic the fighting style of his opponent and do it better than them a lot of the time.

First thing I was taught was how to throw a spinning backfist and check hook.........
Later we learned how to throw both at the same time...
Boston has got the best fistic heritage for a reason...........Rumor has it John L perfected the spinning back fist.............

Im away from home milky but I've just received a text to say glens lad has pulled out. Half of sunderland are skint and have made the trip to London on a tight budget.
Glen found out now at the last minute (at the weigh in) the lad is poorly (diddums). Second time he's duffed it now.
