I suppose batting at 7 for England does mean you are usually in by the 20th over, so maybe it is an ok position for Buttler

Yes but they are exceptions rather than the rule. And KP was not in good form for a couple of years. A case of becoming a better player when out of the side.

Neither Broad (pre or post nose job) nor Jordan can in anyway be described as all rounders. Take a look at their records.

True - a clearout is needed. Bell and Morgan pretty much have to go. Ali could remain but not as an opener, maybe the number 7.

Although he's far from being a batting great, Jordan is better than Broad. He (Jordan) has even opened the batting in 4 day cricket although that was another of Chris Adams' many mistakes at Surrey.

I hope you see what I mean now, KP_Fan, about the chances being 60-40, not 90-10. England cracked under the pressure, just as I thought they would if Bangladesh exerted any.

Wrong balance in the team, wrong captain and wrong coach. England deserve to go out.

Nowhere near good enough, getting to the QFs may have led to Semi Finals then a belief of everything being ok.

Feel sorry for Buttler.  He is building an impressive portfolio of innings trying valiantly, but ultimately failing, to recover lost causes.
