Castro bitten by dog and dropped

Bad day, I'm sure his mate Cockers will be straight over to give him a cuddle (right after discarding his dog costume)
Just goes to show noones place is sacred, it seems unbelievable that one of the greats of the Italian game and an ever present for the last decade wont even make the squad. Is there something more to this story than was reported here, any hint of fallings out (Castro? surely not!) or discipline? I dont thinks hes had a bad tournament by any stretch.
The injury certainly doesnt sound like its enough to keep him out for two weeks, and hes not been listed as injured.
Martin Castrogiovanni, who missed Italy's Six Nations win over Scotland at the weekend after being bitten on the nose by a friend's dog, has been dropped for the matches against France and Wales.
The prop needed 14 stitches after the incident, but was not been named in head coach Jacques Brunel's 30-man squad on Tuesday, and nor does he figure among the players listed as excluded through injury.

Im surprised Italy have persisted with Kelly Haimona. Is he the worst OH ever to play in the 6N. Id say Adam Jones would be a better goal kicker than him. Surely Tommy Allen or Luciano Orquera are much better options?

Both them and France desperately need to figure out who is going to kick goals, it sure as hell shouldnt be the guy in place.

They're barking up the wrong tree. No other player has as much bite as Castro when his tail's up. He's a real terrier. Anyone up and coming who could take the lead? Maybe Castro could recommend a Chum...

actually Haimona is a disappointment, but to be honest the guy is a centre! unfortunately Allan is a bad defender but above all is a terrible kicker anyway. Orquera is the only one who has sparks in his game, but opponents do what they want in his channel.GunsGerms wrote:Im surprised Italy have persisted with Kelly Haimona. Personally I'd go with Allan, no worse kicker but is younger and better player in perspective. Haimona can give nothing to this team.
