Nearly time to bring Slammin' Sam on.
First topic message reminder :
Sam Burgess has made great improvements in the handful of games he has played for Bath. Last Friday he was potentially MOM. Its time to get him in the England squad for training right now. His range of skills is huge. Particularly, his wide pass is amazing. I genuinely believe he has overtaken 12Ts and possibly Luther Burrell for the 12 shirt already. Come on Lancaster just do it.

I can see SL bringing in Armitage for the WC and going:
6. Armitage
7. Robshaw
8. Morgan
None of our 6 options have overly impressed and Robshaw needs assistance at the breakdown.
Noones going near Armitage till hes been to court, and if he does get found guilty I doubt at all even if its a suspended sentence. He sint so good that Lancaster would be dumb enough to pick a player who may end up in jail for the tournament

He's obviously not selecting him if he goes to prison, I thought that was a given.

Crap Pooly! You think a miserable ball and chain would slow down Armitage if he was given leave to play during the World Cup????
God man, you underrate him so badly.

A ball and chain would make him even more difficult to shift from the breakdown area.

Armitage is French. Je suis French. Forget him FFS. SL has.

Would give him something to rest his fat arse or lardy gut on.

I think Lancaster has managed expectation about Armitage rather well. The press have a collective bee in the bonnet about him and if England fail at RWC and he didn't look at Armitahe seriously then that will be a factor in slamming him. Does Armitage bring something that the other 7 options don't…yes i think he does because with Robshaw the incumbent England will never really have a competitor at the breakdown as it is not his greatest skill. IMO moving Robshaw to 6 and at least looking at Armitage in the summer is something he has to consider. Assuming Armitage is not found guilty/imprisoned. But realistically what is the likelihood of this?

Now he's hoping the courts do as well.
