Federer just can't squeeze out these types of matches against Djokovic.

Well done Novak.
He was the better player overall and deserved to win.
Some stunning points and a very good match overall - yet again by these two.

DJoko deserved it, apart from 15 minutes of Fed magic, Djoko held in nicely.
Fed should become the King of ATP 500/250.

Done deal, gratz for Novak, he came back really well after being put on the rocks at least twice. Fed showing he dont need no fast court to compete, but it was in the end only competing, he was never ahead.

What on Earth is Petchey babbling on about? "History is written by the winners and it will be Novak Djokovic who is written on ... blah blah drivel blah drivel"
Do they pay him for this?

Oh well. Well done Nole, he was far the better player for most of the match. Could well have won 6:3 6:2.

Fed's become a 2 hour max player. The engine can no longer go beyond that.

On these courts Federer is unlikely to win against Djokovic/Nadal/Murray if they're playing their best. I don't suspect Fed will do much in Miami.

Oh dear. Did anyone say he can't compete on a slow court? But for sure it hurts him.temporary21 wrote:Done deal, gratz for Novak, he came back really well after being put on the rocks at least twice. Djokovic the king of the slower hard courts.

Re: The Indian Wells Masters 1000 Thread
I was too frustrated to sleep.. glad I came back down!
Decent match. Both players produced moments of magic and both produced moments they'd probably rather forget.
11 weeks into the season and Novak has a slam and a Masters to his name. Not bad at all.
Despite the loss, Fed showed that even on a slow court, coming to the net can be a weapon.

?? I think you may be misquoting me. I said he needed to adapt to the courts which didnt favour him and adapt he did. Juts not well enough.bogbrush wrote:Oh dear. It's daft that the next event, which follows on immediately, is also a very slow court.
What's the point?
