Liverpool have had some unbelievable strikers, would Jan Molby or Greame Souness not make your squad mate?

Totally forgot about Molby, would have to swap him with Alonso or Mcmanaman. Not sure who Souness would replace though.

I've always wondered, if Owen hadn't left and eventually gone to United would he make teams like these for Liverpool fans? I would actually say he did more for Liverpool than Torres has, was he a better player though? Tough question IMO.

Torres is/was well better than Owen IMO but thats not saying he wasn't good, I'd say that neither would get into Liverpools top 5 strikers of all time, when Aldridge, Toshack and St John aren't even getting a mention you realise the quality that was available

Between 98-03 he would have got into any side in the world. And yes he did more for Liverpool than Torres did. The 2001 F.A cup final springs to mind.

I think the Torres of 07-09 would have also got into any side in the world as well though, Torres was phenomenal at that time. A shorter space of time, but was he better than Owen during that period? A part of me wants to say yes, but I wonder if that's just because the team as a whole was playing better during that period.

I put Torres on my bench ahead of Owen simply because his A-game was, as you suggest, awesome.

I don't think Owen would have got into any team in the World between 98-03, he was at his best then granted but there was many better than him around that time and Man Utd Chelsea and Arsenal to name a few along with Real, Valencia, Bayern and Juve didn't need him, I dont even think Owen was the best striker at Liverpool during that period
