Skrtl banned for 3 matches. Thank you very much, justice done.
On Falcao, its a shame. He's scored only 4 goals this season, 3 being extremely key goals vs Everton, Villa and Stoke, but he hasn't had the service either. I think put him in the team now, with the new formation, and he'd score more but obviously Rooney is, and rightly so, our no.1 striker atm. No way will we pay 40m for him. He'll go back to Spain or PSG if Ibra and Cavani leave.

Hammersmith, do you really believe the stuff being written by people in the outside about falcao. The stuff about him crying over the phone to his agent is so untrue, it's enbarrassing. This is a grown 29 year old on 250k a week, you honesty believe he's crying and spitting his dummy out, he's laughing. He's milking United for everything, like di Maria & knows come the summer he will move to another top club. You don't know how's hes beentreated either, knowing LVG didn't really want him, I imagine he's been treated very badly in this situation.

So you on one hand state I don't know what's happening then go on to say what you think is happening despite having nothing to back it up, outdone yourself again.
Yes I do think he's throwing his toys out the pram, you can tell by his attitude when he's substituted, sitting on the bench and everything HE says to the media. How do you know it's untrue anyway?
In short what you've said in your usual cretinous way is; "I don't like Louis Van Gaal therefore it is his fault entirely, nobody else can possibly be to blame because did I mention I really don't like him".

Apparently, Sterling has informed his agent that a non top 4 finish would mean he would want to leave Liverpool & City would be his no.1 choice. Rodgers has been in dicussion with he club & plans already in motion to bring Walcott in this summer as Sterling's replacement. Wenger, who has already stated Walcott is no longer first choice, has told the Arsenal board of his desire to bring Marco Reus to the club from Dortmund.

Having watch Walcott last night, I'd weep if Liverpool bought him.

Well, when you have to spend so long picking up the turds that Jones was scattering everywhere, you'll find your effectiveness greatly reduced. When you consider his ability in that role for Liverpool, it really does bring home how f*cking awful Jones was. Wouldn't surprise me if Hodgson had fired a poisoned dart at Smalling to make him puke this get Jones back into a position where he's not as sh!te. I heard someone was shining a laser pen a Joe Hart. If it had a rifle attached they could have done us all a favour and pointed it a Jones and Walcott.GSC wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Poor lad spent all last night picking up after Phil Jones.GSC wrote:Probably cutting yourself at the thought of Henderson returning then

City will plump for Sterling over De Bruyne due to the qouta. Sterling has rejected Liverpool because his agent has already told him a deal is in the pipeline with City.

3-0 Arsenal at half time.
What United should have done to them last week.
Good result for united as we can be 8 points clear of Liverpool in 5th if we beat Villa, which is a good cushion given our next 2 games are Chelsea and City (i.e. 2 defeats).

Absolute joke. Have to be better than that. Third goal was really good but first was non-existent defending and second was such a cheap free kick.
Needed to make it count when we were on top.

Kind of.
Arsenal started really well, pinned Liverpool back but then stopped after about 10 minutes and Liverpool were on top, missed a sitter, until Arsenal scored their first goal, the second and the third came really quickly after.

Well I don't watch Sky Sports News but I'd say the general consensus is that Sterling wouldn't be worth the £150k a week and isn't worth £50 million currently but he certainly has huge potential.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
A frustrating day for any Liverpool fan, the form we've shown since christmas seems to have disappeared in recent weeks, the warning signs that are on show against Swansea have come to fruition in the last two games. Can was stupid, a daft hack from behind and deserved a red card.
Sterling needs to sort himself out. He hasn't performed well in recent weeks, but seems to believe he is deserving of £100k+ a week, not a chance. Honestly if Ibe was fit I'd be backing Rodgers to drop him, he's been dreadful today and the game has completely passed him by. Players who earn the kind of money he wants influence games, and when he's had the chance today he just hasn't.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Has been poor but was a sucker punch with the three goals, so easily could have been a totally different result had Markovic or Sterling put away that chance.
Imagine form might pick up again now the pressure is off, this team seems top perform best when expectations are low. Aren't great at dealing with pressure, which does make sense when you look at the age of the players.
Skrtel was a big miss today, he's been fantastic since the up turn in form and I'm not sure the back three works without him and maybe Rodgers should think about switching it up, especially now Can is suspended for the next game. Would make sense to go back to a back four.
Sterling was poor but I think without the whole interview mess he wouldn't be being singled out. Coutinho was much poorer.
Arsenal have been good but Liverpool have made it far too easy for them. Top four is out of the question now, but a decent run of form to end the league season and winning the FA Cup is not.

I do think that maybe this showcases the mental frailty of Arsenal, playing like this they should be challenging for the league but have only turned it on when winning the league isn't really achievable. Seems to happen every year.

Again Olly, winning a penalty at 3-0 isn't exactly influencing the game massively is it? I don't believe he's performed for a number of weeks, and probably feels he's undroppable.

Beautiful stuff from Arsenal - confidence, verve and ambition all nicely rolled together.
A pity they only seem to play like this towards the back end of the season!

And this is why ever year when people go they won't make top 4. Im never fussed because this is what we do better then anyone else every year for the last 8 years, Run in to the end of the season after going out CL we just rack wins up weirdly 9 pts clear of the scousers in 5th - 7 clear if Southampton/Spurs win.
