Ref in this united match is a clown.
Penalty ignored when Clark pulled Rooney down by the neck. Valencia just cut Delph in half and not booked.

I'm struggling to understand the relevance of me being a Liverpool fan?
Especially since I pointed out that Liverpool suffer from playing under pressure earlier as well.
I am capable of separating being a fan of Liverpool from making observations about football generally.

I did not read back as i don't care to read through Ents & Nicks comments for the most part < This is where the problem most likely is cos i cba to read back.
Ive been here a fair while and if you do separate being a liverpool fan from general comments it's not very often

United gone really flat after a good start, lot of misplaced passes.
Need to get tempo up, villa offering nothing really.

Which is quite ironic given you've reacted like this over a fair criticism of Arsenal

I think I'm okay at separating the two, I do think people are too quick to jump on people's opinions as being biased on here.

United 1-0, lifted it last 5 minutes.
Excellent finish by herrera.
Hutton been struggling for last 10 with ankle injury. Kept on and we got in on his side.

Good work from di Maria down the left, Rooney just about pulls it down and fires it into the top corner.

Good win and much needed, dodgy enough performance.
Villa barely offered anything and struggled to mount an attack.
Have a chance against city given we are at home but I fancy chelsea to shut the wings down against us and get a comfortable win.
If tottenham win theyll be 6 points behind us and are closest challengers for top 4. 8 ahead of Liverpool and 9 from southampton should be enough of a gap.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Well, just in reply to the start of the topic, Liverpool's defence was literally cut open in the space of 10 minutes today/ Not only the first 10 minutes when Arsenal should have pout 2 past them because of individual mistakes, but also when Arsenal got their first 3 goals. It really should have been 5-1 at half time it was a cracking game.
Only watched the first 70 minutes as I got bored because Arsenal slowed the game down after that.
Other than his penalty error today, I thought Hector Bellerin had a solid game. Its difficult to not only play in such a crucial fixture but to also deal with Sterling as well in the 2nd half. Although Sterling didn't do much from what I saw, Bellerin was barely beaten other tan the penalty, but he will learn from that experience and come back stronger.
Chelsea should win today, but if they lose to Arsenal and United, the title race could well still be on. Its a lot to ask and they do still have a game in hand do Chelsea yes, but Arsenal will be close if Chelsea lose them 2 games. I think, if my Maths is correct, they win today they will got 6 clear, lose their next 2 Arsenal will be level provided they win both of their games but if Chelsea beat Leicester they will only be 3 ahead.
Interesting. The title race may be closer than we firs imagined if that's how it works out.

De Gea has more masses more of experience in English football than Courtois to be fair. No matter how many big games Thibaut played in in Spain, the PL is a different kettle of fish for keepers. In two years it won't even be close.
Today's was just a ludicrous strike from Adam. He might as well retire now.

Thought we actually played pretty well today, barring Adam's wonderstrike. Stoke offered very little really, and Hazard was superb and Willian had a good game too. Costa looking like he is done for pretty much the season is the only real negative from that result.

No, just smart forward play IMO.
In the end it took a massive mistake from Stoke to give Chelsea the winning goal, but prior to and after that Begovic made a number of good saves.
Stoke didn't really pose much threat in fairness. What a strike from Adam. I don't think you can blame Courtois at all for that.
I thought the intensity from Chelsea could have been higher but they got the job done.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Arsenal scored two lovely goals today. Always happy when Giroud scores, been much maligned for reasons beyond my comprehension. Think there was a narrative about him from 2012 which people have refused to change to fit the changing reality. Still, he's having a very good season, only a goal behind Costa now overall.
Also happy enough for Wenger, will be a boon for him if he can snatch second, and defend the FA Cup. Barring maybe an extra round in the Champs League, I think 2nd + domestic silverware is as good as he could have realistically hoped for this season.
Pleased to see di Maria played alright again. Given the nothingness he's been prone to providing, good to see him notch his tenth assist. The boy's a bit of a genius, and will come good in his sophomore season, long as van Gaal doesn't try make him a striker again. 22 games 10 assists is decent first gun.
Good to beat Hull. Not sure we should really push for Europa league football, but who knows, we might be playing Wednesday nights in two seasons!

Think you could reasonably question Mignolet for the 2nd and 3rd goals.
No idea what Liverpool were protesting on the Can 2nd yellow. Struggle to complain if he got a straight red

I can see the De Gea and Courtois argument has cropped up once again. Whilst your blaming Courtois for his bad positioning - which is true - it was a ludicrous strike by Adam nonetheless.
Lets not forget that De Gea made quite a poor error as well yesterday. Benteke's low shot from a corner with no real conviction, power or accuracy managed to squirm under his body which is a poor goalkeeping error as well.
But I'm sitting on the fence, I think De Gea = Courtois.
