Good looks vs Charisma Empty Good looks vs Charisma

Post by TRUSSMAN66 Mon 23 Mar 2015, 11:44

Remember a few years ago one of my colleagues was interviewing candidates for a position and asked me to sit in.........There was a number of Women seeking employment shortlisted with a selection of Men.........Probably about four of each...My mind doesn't get better with age !!....

Pretty much decided before it started that If a chick was good enough we'd go with one of those things !!Wink Wink ......Male dominated company back then and still are...

Anyway three of the Women candidates were very attractive one was extremely so, very presentable with good cvs.....and used all the buzz words...Passion, hard working, driven...The usual s**t..........Would have employed all of them If honest.....Feel sure they had good careers elsewhere.....

One girl came in that I can only describe as looking like a female Tomas Rosicky (Arsenal footballer) but probably more masculine and she had us in the palm of her hand straightaway......Had us laughing.........Amazing personality.....Real character..........Had a grin that could light up a room..

GOT THE JOB..................Ended up leaving to start a family a year or so later......

Charisma is one of the most potent possessions you can have......Looks can only take you so far.....and unfortunately charisma can't be taught..

Nothing more attractive...

Not necessarliy attractive Truss but it is one of the best attributes you can have. As you've shown, it gives you the ability to have people eating out of the palm of your hand and allows you to get away with absolute murder.

An old mate of mine had it in buckets and the stuff he got up to in pubs and clubs was mental.

That's a definite we all know what Ted Bundy did with his.

I do think it gives you an immediate advantage over someone with less as your more likely to engage the other person(s)

Was Ted Bundy charismatic...........I don't think so....................Handsome probably..

Not sure you know how Bundy got his victims......... He feigned a broken leg and used crutches and would ask girls to carry his books to his car for him............and when they bent over to put them on the back seat he clubbed them unconscious....

These good girls murdered by a complete coward....

Isn't Bundy the one that escaped as well? If not then i'm thinking of the wrong person. Whichever it was though they were described as very charismatic and could get you believing anything.
He was definitely a coward though and in no way am I trying to make excuses etc for him.

Charisma is one of them amazing things in people, it can make the mediocre look amazing and the amazing become world Class.

Ted Bundy is an astonishing case with the amount of blunders made by the police.

I used to really enjoy reading about this kind of stuff.

Apparently the film with Mark Harmon is supposed to be very good too.

Think you may be confusing charisma with cocaine

Mate of mine was given some by a guy he used to work for many years ago (he also once paid him in pornographic videos...go figure). Said that he snorted it on the way to Leeds train station and when he got there he was tempted to run home to Bradford he felt to "invigorated" He said he kept having these brilliant ideas and solutions for problems and that if he could only get hold of pen he'd have it up and running in no time. He said there was no "out of body type experience" just that everything was heighten and "extra real"

Wasn't something he planned on doing again as he was more of a dope smoker and preferred to live his life at half speed. Used to get very bizarre texts from him at all hours that, had I also been under the influence, would probably have been amaaaaaaazingly profound as opposed to just being unwelcome at 3am

Reminds me a bit of SerialDave. Quite a funny poster but I wouldn't want to encounter him on a desolate moor, especially if he was holding a hammer and a shovel.

It's called "hiding in plain sight"
