There was an old man named Blatter
FIFA simply didn't get what was the matter
With a head in the sand
And a wring of the hand
The reputation of football they did splatter. Rolling Eyes

Which wise person observed that a fish rots from the head Smile

Comparison being made with Olympics. It's said that radical steps to clean out the stables were only taken when the sponsors started saying they no longer wished to be associated with the brand.

Such is the money to be made from the World Cup I can see the farce continuing a good bit longer before the edifice crumbles or implodes! steam

Sepp Blatter says today FIFA is not in crisis, merely "in some difficulties"

Blatter is a horrible corrupt human being. He felt threatened by Hammann and set his corruption squad on them. Another 4 years of president and their isn't anything anyone can do about it.

The sponsors Coca Cola and Adidas are indeed now reported to be muttering about the damage to the football. But, unless there are major new allegations forthcoming I can see Splatter in charge of the trough for a few more years...

There's probably quite a few people hoping for a space at the trough who can be relied on for support
