Toulon vs Wasps
Bit of a nervy start by wasps, predicting an easy Toulon win although they have given a fair few penalties away already

Toulon have given away 4 penalties in 12 minutes, they will have someone in the bin soon if that continues

They should have had Botha in the bin already for the late shoulder on the Wasps 10. That's just a cheap shot.

Wasps with 64% possession after 20mins, didn't see that coming. Toulon lethal though and will probably win by 20 points plus

Botha gave Clancy a pat on the back and high fived his teammates after it. Shouldnt be allowed to get away with it that easily

Simpson seems a bit slow, don't think he's any better than Wigglesworth for England

Barnes went to annoying about 3 minutes in. I really wish they get rid of Barnes or Sky would lose all rugby to BT

That would mean that you would have to also ban:nathan wrote:i dont like how knocking the ball backwards is allowed, it should be stamped out.
Tapping back in the lineout
The "slap pass"
Jumping for a high ball and tapping it back.

Why do you think that should be banned, you can play the ball backwards. It's the fundamental element of the game.

I'm fully aware you can play the ball backwards, I'm not stupid....
What I'm saying is that Wasps were on the attack, attempted pass out to Varndell and it was knocked backwards by Drew Mitchall. No attempt to catch it, he just slapped it backwards.
There was also an instance where Wasps did the same thing, i just don't think it should be allowed.

Re: Toulon vs Wasps
Wasps have been almost been punished for playing on and scoring... The pull back had to be a yellow!

So Williams scores even though he shouldn't be on the pitch

Re: Toulon vs Wasps
Frustrating for Wasps, you've always felt Toulon have had them at arms length but Botha should have been in the sin bin and so should Williams. But fair play to Wasps, they've gone to Toulon and they've given it a bloody good go.

Unlucky Wasps. Toulon is ruining rugby, God I hate them. After the score it should have been a penalty to Wasps on halfway and Williams in the bin.

Re: Toulon vs Wasps
Loved wasps' second try, fantastic break down the flank and then impressive patience and composure to eventually get over the line. Simpson is a great broken field runner

Re: Toulon vs Wasps
Massive effort from Wasps in the second half. Really felt sorry for them as they put in one hell of an effort. Think that Botha was lucky not to see a yellow for the late shoulder charge, Clancey even said that he used no arms and Williams should have seen a yellow for the pull back. Wasps were on the front foot and might have gotten something out of this game if Williams had of seen yellow.

Really good tries scored by Wasps... great effort from them. Made it an enjoyable game for the neutral.

Slow?
I thought like the commentators he had a cracking game & is a totally different player to Wiggy & would provide something very different on the bench if in the national squad.
He has also increased his speed of passing noticeably this season.

Best game of the quarters by a long way!
Wasps left themselves with a bit too much to do buy they're great to watch in open play.

I agree with you BigTrevsbigmac, i thought Simpson had a great game to be honest. The place for the starting Scrum half in the RWC has just been blown wide open in my opinion.
I also thought that Elliot Dailey had a great game as well. 2 players that should at least be in the England training squad for the RWC. Be very surprised if they do not get at least 1 game, or at the very least a bench spot.

First half he was slow but I suppose some of the blame could be on the forwards, his service in the second half was much improved
