We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
Missed the game today great result!
City have bought terribly since they won the title in 11/12, 100s of millions and no real certain starters or class players introduced.
They've prospered in a relative decline of the pl, picking up the top players from the non top 4 and the sub elite Europeans was good enough as a base but they didn't kick on and it has showed in Europe and this season.
6 wins in a row for United, city, Spurs and Liverpool in that run.
Top 4 all but secured, big test next week against chelsea.

Will 35 points be enough?
Sunderland would need 2 wins from 5 games to overtake.
Leicster look like they can get a few points, hull would over take if they beat Burnley.
Villa have a win in them. Could come down to goal difference if Newcastle lose their last 3.
Worth getting rid of carver? Even a draw would help.

A number of people over the years have had digs at Rio but I'll always remember the time he decided to do a 30 minute 1-on-1 training session with my son then the guy will always be in high regards to myself. Cannot imagine the heartache both he and his young family are in right now.

Really don't get why no PL teams seem interested in taking a shot on Warburton.Dolphin Ziggler wrote:Well, at least McLaren is free from tomorrow...

If anything, that's the only positive out of today's result, is that he won't be available for the next home game

Nice touch from Liverpool giving lilies to the QPR team/bench.
West Ham will be showing a picture of Rio and his wife, and the fans will sing his name on the 5th minute.

As much as Nigel Pearson is a total nut-case as a person, he's got to get some credit for what seems like keeping Leicester up. I was sure for most of the season that they were gone. Eseteban Cambiasso has been such a good signing as well, destined to be a cult name for them for the years to come. I expected him to be gone before Christmas, but he's been one of their most committed players.

Great goal from Liverpool.
It has really frustrated me seeing Balotelli being given chance after chance and throwing it away, and Lambert working from scraps.

Carver has apparently said he believes Williamson got himself sent off on purpose to avoid relegation battle.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Mike Williamson has been out of his depth for years, total embarrassment. Carver is a joke, failed time & time again to motivate these players & continually looking for someone else to blame, other than himself. He's totally clueless, the tactics are all over the shop & him giving out a detailed version in a press conference of our main weaknesses, including set-pieces, was unforgivable. As I said, he's not totally to blame, however, it's clear he's incapable of handling this job & if he loves the club as much as the fans, he would step down immediately, to give someone else the opportunity to save us from relegation.

Ashley must be browning his pants now, surely time for an intervention? No leadership to be seen on the pitch or off it. Carver's record is simply shocking. You've got to think just getting a new man in, even Beardsley or someone & hope you get the 'manager boost' for one result
